Honestly, someone mentioned something about how if the pool was like a wishing well, they accidentally "wished" for the dad to be healed by throwing coins in the pool, and that's what made the entity demand a sacrifice. They didn't need some backstory from random lady #1. The wishing well thing would've had this flick make more sense, while giving people paranoia about tossing valuables in water.

many urban legends tend to have a clear-cut procedure or steps to be taken to trigger a summon or ritual. movies these days lack that, I miss the generic 'if you watch this bid tape, you will die' or if you are in the vicinity of someone who died to the curse, you are next, regardless of the time or place. personally, i wanna see more movies based on understanding the supernatural phenomenon and how to avoid it or stop it, rather than winging it.

One funny thing to point out is that it's impossible to suck in more air from the hose when you get too deep in water, something like 1 meter or so I believe. The water pressure at that depth is so strong that your diaphragm isn't strong enough to expand to inhale more air.
@Byvenic Жыл бұрын
Then explain scuba divers? (Genuine question not sarcastic sass)
@varencilator Жыл бұрын
@@Byvenic scuba divers use pressurized air to breathe. The pressurized air counteracts the water pressures from diving so your lungs don't stay deflated from water pressure, and you can still breathe. You can also think of it like the air tank as forcefully injecting air into your mouth. If you tried to breathe from a scuba tank outside of water without a regulator (which increases or decreases the air flow depending on the surrounding pressure), you might blow up your lungs
@Byvenic11 ай бұрын
@@varencilator Thanks. I thought it may have something to do with the pressurised tanks. It's interesting that it's only after a metre that you can't breathe in. I suppose it's like having that weight laying on your chest though.

So watched the movie myself, and liked it for what it was. A cheesy movie about a cursed pool.
