The flashbacks were literally of his childhood which sets up his whole determination of looking for his sister and explains why hes with Maarva & Clem

I think the point of the scene with Cinta on Aldhani is just to show the Star Destroyer there, which came to do some, in the words of ISB, "planetary retaliation" (so, wiping everyone out probably) as the consequence of the heist . She's just a convenent vehicle for that.

Hope u guys noticed Melshi at Table 5 together with Cassian :) Sgt Ruescott Melshi was the one that led the Rebel Extraction Team to rescue Jyn Erso on Wobani in Rogue One, only to be kicked by her in the nuts lol. At the end he fought bravely alongside them on the sunny beaches of Scarif

season 2 was already planned - they said before the release of this show that both seasons will be 12 episodes - this one covering the one year and each 3 ep arc in season 2 would be another year leading directly up to Rogue One

Funfact about young marriages in Europe - this affected mostly highest society, where marriage was political thing. Lower and middle class usually married men when closing to thirty, women when just after twenty. That is because man had to be already wealthy enough to support family, while woman had to mature enough to be able to both bear children and take care of household - no man would marry a child just for kinks, at worst he'd pay for these, but marriage was an arrangement, not fun.

Thx for the react! When you re-watch this series without having to react, you'll pick up some detail as this show is subtle with most info. Maarva did confirm that Cassian was the only survivor after the planet Kenari was nuked after that freighter crashed...otherwise 'there were no survivors' as nobody knew about Clem, Maarva, and Cassian escaping. And when the other prisoners ask about Aldani, they mention it's been 1month since the Empire initiated the P.O.R.D....so I took that to mean that when Cassian gets to the prison it's been about 3weeks since he saw Maarva and went to Space-Miami. Overall I think it's been about 2-4months from Episode 3 to the end of this episode, just from what's been stated?? But I just might be high on copium, so who knows! :)

I think Maarva thinks he is the only survivor, but I'm not sure I trust her there. Unless we see it happen there is room for it to be an unreliable narrator moment

My guess is that Andor and the prisoners are all building some of the final pieces needed to make the Death Star fully operational in the next few years. It would add a final layer of horrifying poetry to his journey, if he realizes he was forced to help build their ultimate weapon of genocide.

Episode 7 is a bridge from the first half of the season to the later. 8-10 are the next arc with 11-12 being the finale. Thats why Episode 7 felt so different.

Episode 7 feels like the epilogue of last arc and the prologue to the next arc. I think that’s why it’s a little disjointed in the end. But god 8 and 9 are so tense and amazing.

Leida also seems to hate it, as she's often awkward while on the job, very uncomfortable--is she trying to tell her mother without telling her mother? Mon Mothma cares, but she can't get wrapped up into figuring out what's going on with her daughter because she's already go too much on her plate, and also because family trouble helps take eyes off of her.

The "average lifespan was lower because of childhood mortality" is not, in fact, accurate. Yes, childhood mortality was part of it, but the average lifespan of someone who survived to 20 was still only about 45 in 1850. Between penicillin and nitrogen fertilizer made from the Haber-Bosch process saved SOOOOOO many lives in the last 100 years. Episode 7 was intended as a stand alone, so episode 8 is the start of the new three episode arch (so says the show runner).

Andor doesnt have a Bigger Budget than Kenobi for example, Kenobi was more expansive, the diferrence is that the writers and showrunners in Andor were kinda more smart and had more liberty, i had the Theory that why Andor has a better script and history, I belevie that Because The Bosses in Star Wars Thoutgh that Boba Fett and Kenobi are lovebale caracthers they had to put all their attention on it, so Andor is like the outcast child, probably because the bosses werent so aware and involve on Andor, they green light fast their ideas to dont be bother by it. So yeah thats my theory.

That is probably correct. Kathleen Kenedy was indeed the supervisor for Andor too. But she basically didn´t gave a shit about it and let the team work in peace basically. No big names involved (SW side) so she had no interest. To no ones surprise, that is what is needed to make a good star wars show. None involvement from Kennedy.

i think the episode is fine but they should have switched the last two scenes. They should have gone from the line "Tell him you mean watch!" and then cut to the Cyrill in the cubicle scene and then cut back to Cassian. Ending the episode with the line "6 years!!"

Put on subtitles and you won't have any issue understanding what's being said. One might say, "But I don't like subtitles, They're distracting". Well, you're wrong. Subtitles are awesome. Use them, and then you'll understand how to say people's names correctly. 👍
