It was a game to forget for the Yankees on Sunday, beaten by the Cardinals 14-7. Nestor Cortes was unable to find his "swing and miss" pitches, lasting just four innings, allowing five runs. Juan Soto tried to explain what happened on his outfield misplay in the seventh inning that led to three St. Louis runs. The lone bright spot was the return of Anthony Rizzo to the Yankees lineup, where he contributed an RBI double and "felt good to be back."
