(On the part about birth control) I took 4 dif kinds of hormonal birth control between the ages of 19 and 27 to combat acne and control periods. I had my first pulmonary embolism at 27 and stopped. It was definitely a doozy, for sure, and took a while to recover from. I had two more at 30 (face broke out and I decided maybe bc for a few weeks and like 2 weeks later, my lungs said bitch, you testing us?) and that one was definitely on me. Last one was at 34, and the doctors were unsure, but figured it was a residual clot and now I'm on daily blood thinners. I won't ever tell anyone to not take birth control, you do you. Just do thorough research on different types before starting. That said - if AD don't take her fix-a-nig ass on away from Clay! Bro red flags couldn't be any brighter!!!

@slsthewriter1299
@slsthewriter1299 3 ай бұрын
I think the prime reason is they are acting purely out of emotion. It's documented that the reason why lust and new relationships are so engaging is because you literally get more dopamine hits since they're new, so you don't quite know what to expect, rather than knowing what to expect from a person you have an established bond with. So cheaters like this want the stability and benefits of a traditional marriage, but they're out there chasing this high to get their dick wet because…fun fact, men are very emotional. xD Thanks to testosterone. (And before anybody argues with that… Part of the reason why women are more emotional on their periods is because testosterone levels are raised. So. You know.) In any case, they're not really wrong in blaming it on passion and romance. Because that is what it is. Both of those things are fleeting. Passion in this context relates to lust. Romance is dependent on the notion of mystery. The more you bond and get to know a person, that newfound lust will be something people get used to (so it doesn't feel like a rush anymore), and romance ebbs away because where's the mystery?

@@jadetreeI don't think she added that as "tea", considering she acknowledged how shitty of a cousin he must have. She even mentioned the risks with being a possibly black gay man working as a principal in the south, where some bigots would most definitely try to get him fired. And like another commentor said, even if he is having struggles with his sexuality, I think one of the worst things he could've done was go on television and try to marry a woman, if he's not into them. I fully understand the stress and depression and general angst that can come from denying yourself and forcing yourself to a lifetime of marriage with someone you can't/don't love, and the social pressures that come along with it, but again I feel it would've been better to just try and date women rather than marry one on television.

this season has really brought out the misogynoir of the contestants and viewers. Jimmy hitting on AD is AD's fault. AD being the victim of SA A.KA "bean dip" and causing Laura and Jeramey to fight is ADs fault. Kenneth breaking up with Brittany is ADs fault, People are speculating that AD is the girl Jimmy slept with when we hear Chelsea scream "you f-- her!".... Like AD is one of the least problematic people on the show, and yet people still want to accuse her of things she has not done. Yes, she is attractive, but the way the cast members and viewers keep bringing her up you would think she cheated (Jeramey/Jimmy/SK/Bartise/Jackie), all she has done is lived in a Black body that happens to be curvy. It is giving Sara Baartman. It is giving yt women who forced bw to wear scarves or shave their heads because they saw them as competition.

Luckily it took only 3 days for her as well BUT not only did the Dr not warn her(I had talked to her but once she was in it she couldn’t see her way out of it)when she messaged them through the portal to ask for a different one they told her to stay on the original prescription even though she was close to harming herself on it.

A little tip about Americans, "Afro -" doesn't mean African and so-and-so country. It's a politically correct way of saying Black and Caribbean, like afro-latino. It's based on looks; judging a Caribbean person by how black, indian, or latin they look so you can label them as such. It's a bit annoying and dismissive to Caribbean people, sing that the majority of us aren't just black or indian. But hey, that's America. The smartest country in the world lol.

The reason men like Clay don’t choose ethical non-monogamy is the same reason he freaked out at her for having another connection on a show in which everyone dates 15 people until they decide on someone. He wants to do anything he wants, with someone committed and loyal to him. And in ethical non-monogamy, that’s not the name of the game.

For the question you asked about why men get married/are in relationships I think it’s because they get a lot of benefits from it compared to what they’d have to lose: a wife, kids, a home and all the other benefits society gives them for that. So it would be advantageous to marry/cheat than to be single but what do I know🤷🏽‍♀️
@sheshereisntshe297
@sheshereisntshe297 3 ай бұрын
Yup. It’s the religious and cultural norms that has been interwoven into society even in this present modern world where society is more secular. It was set by those who created and were in authority of social, religious, economic, political values and practices of society since the dawn of time: men. Men and women must get married, men must provide while women support and nurture and take care of them and their kids. For the men, they get to have a second mom who will cook and clean for them, provide them with hiers, raise their children, satisfy their physical and sexual needs without having any emotional attachment to their partners. For women it was the only way to escape not only poverty, but social alienation, and discrimination. Centuries back, marriage wasn’t seen as an act of love more like an act of economic necessity, and a conformity to societal expectations. So it was okay to cheat on your wife, have more than two partners because there was no emotional attachment. Even till today where more and more people claim to marry for love, these belief systems have never died out. So men want a wife because they still believe in that norm that they need to be taken care of. They want to come home to someone who will keep their house clean, satisfy them sexually, provide them with kids, and be their companion without doing any emotional labour, while living the bachelor life.

then men also complain about alimony, child support / family court, division of assets in divorce, etc. you would think this would make men who don't want to be monogamous to not get married or to at least be upfront about wanting an open marriage and get vasectomies on their own volition. so to me that says marriage can't be that bad for men since they keep getting married and having kids despite their bitching about marriage, divorce and family court. Whereas women initiate divorce most often. so I believe marriage really is as bad for women as women say.

Maybe I was naive, but when I exchanged vows with my husband, I never had the fear that he would have cheated on me. As far as I'm aware, he never cheated. He was always attentive, and always "into me." When a man truly loves and values his partner, all things being equal, I doubt crosses his thoughts. Maybe I'm wrong, but they are men out there who don't cheat. I'm noticing the quality of men on this show decreasing with every passing season.

kenny being outed (if true) is just really sad. he's in the south, he's black, he's a principle and in a religious background -- him going on the show doesn't necessarily mean he was there to deceive anyone; if anything, i see it as him desperately trying to get married to a woman in order to cement his self-denial. obviously, it isn't fair to the woman he would've married but that kind of self-denial and desperation can be incredibly emotionally blinding and difficult, especially for a man in his position and positionality. I'm not saying he's an angel, but like -- it's probably real hard for him. and getting outed is the worst, so. :/

re: why do cheaters never seem to seek out ethical non-monogamy relationships and always go for the monogamy ones-- I think it's the attention. I think they want somebody to be 100% dedicated to them, put all their love on them, because it fills some sort of deep hole. Except it never fills that hole, bc the hole is their insecurity and self hatred. It can only be filled by loving yourself. So when their partner inevitably can't "fix them", they seek out love and attention outside of the relationship.

as someone who unknowingly dated a gay man for 2 years, was considering marriage, and then got my heart shattered. like yeah DON'T DO THAT TO PEOPLE. i had years of therapy trying to figure out why i was so 'disgusting and unlovable' to someone who SAID they loved me all the time but didn't ACT like it ever. turns out he knew he was gay the whole time but wasn't ready to be out of the closet, and it's like bruh, i know you are having issues but don't drag me along for the ride. i spent years blaming myself for not being enough. and when i found out, and we had tried to be friends again it really hurt to hear 'wow i hope i can find a guy who is just like you'! yeah, too bad i don't have a penis huh? im bisexual and that is the last thing that matters to me, but good to know that THAT was the dealbreaker. good to know that to him that was enough to condone gaslighting me for YEARS that i was the problem in our relationship (wouldn't have had a meltdown if i didn't literally feel like i was going insane from the way you treated me!). if you don't want someone then don't be with them just to cover your own ass at family dinners and play at being straight. don't lie to the person who is SUPPOSED to be your most important and swear up and down that you want to be with them when you are really just using them for convenience because you can't face your truth. it's cruel.

Probably not a coincidence. These shows purposely look for and seek out these kind of people. Unstable, insecure, manipulative, egocentric, etc. A person with at least one of these traits these teams see as great to exploit for entertainment. That's a huge reason why I don't care to see these shows zero in on Marginalized/Oppressed Communities. These shows already exploit the people who go on them and for people from even more vulnerable communities being fodder for these production teams to exploit is something no one needs. Ideally though these types of shows shouldn't exist at all

On Amy and Johnny contraception talk, it seems like a lot got cut. They’ve talked about it all from the pods till the ep we see. She has a hereditary illness that she may pass on, that she told him about. Her and her doctor aren’t sure on how contraception works with that as research is a bit behind. They did discuss condoms, but he’s worried of the risk of a single contraception method given he grew up with a lot of economical struggles and he doesn’t want to repeat that. So it just seems they’re figuring out the risks they’re willing to take. The edit seems to have really missed all the key parts.

@@olugboyeopeyemi2428 um, men absolutely *do* care if they get a girl pregnant, which is why so many like the pull out method. Unfortunately a lot of those men lack the discipline to actually time things properly, which is how unwanted pregnancies happen.
