We all too often overlook the wealth of nutrition available in the wild spaces that surround our urban living space.
Wild singing nettles and wild garlic ramsons are two great wild food resources we can put together to make a healthy and delicious pesto sauce.
In this two video series I demonstrate how easy it is to forage for and make this amazing pesto from mostly gathered wild ingredients.

Wild garlic? Wow!

It has a mild and subtle garlic flavour. I often use it in place of bulb garlic from the stores at this time of year. My friend Emma in Nova Scotia also gathers it, so it may grow near where you live too.

I'm not much of a forager Pete. When younger though, the seasons were named for the berries and fiddleheads, and when they were in season I was always gone with birch back pack and fishing pole in hand. 😊
