Capn himself is a buyer, seller, manufacturer, player and a fan. This differentiates Andertons than the other channels. There’s a holistic well roundedness to Capn’s inputs and responses to the products.

Ask, and ye shall receive!!! I’ve pestered Brian for a gain pedal in the past, and asked Lee for a video on it! Done and done! Now we need to see a Chappers and Capt. video on the Neuron by itself! And maybe add an Immerse pedal to the Neuron to get some dripping wet sweet tones!

It is digitally controlled, but is the gain stage itself analog or digital?
@jamesmarcin47876 жыл бұрын
Cool. The Neuron reminds me a bit of the Source Audio LA Lady pedal which I own. Built in noise gate, midi inputs, six banks to save your preset ect . Seems that they kind of took that concept to another level. Have to try it out in person.

@JIMJAMSC5 жыл бұрын
I probably have 30 various ODs, some vintage, some fairly new. I can honestly say that I can grab 5 of them and simply by trial and error recreate 99.9% of ANY OD released. All that has changed is they add some cool paint/graphic/name, sprinkle it with magic tone dust and give it a boutique price. TBO I have not seen any pedal in the last few years that had me shelling out $200+.
@neonether5 жыл бұрын
Boutique price because it's a boutique company...in Orange, CA where I live. Price you pay for quality unless you dig China enough to give them every purchase of yours that falls $199 or less.

If only it had an IR in it instead of the fluffy and fizzy analogue speaker sim. I know Brian N much prefers analogue eq curves for speaker sims but they just sound fluffy and unnatural to me. IRs are spot on convincing these days and to my ears, so much better
@johnstitt26155 жыл бұрын
I hear your argument and IR’s do sound great but the iconoclast has deeper editing which can be used. You can also load an IR as a reference curve to look at to tweak things. I have the Neuron, iconoclast, etc. I have lots of Celestion IR’s. Both options are great. To me it is all just ingredients for the musical food.

@peterjessop18786 жыл бұрын
Neunaber Audio I have no issue with digital pedals. Your Immerse is permanently on my board. Personally I prefer analog/tube drives due to the feel under the fingers and interaction between different parts of the rig that you lose with all digital overdrives and fuzzes I’ve ever tried.

Rack mount do-everything processors have been around since the 1980s, yet there will always be those who desire and prefer the effective simplicity, fewer adjustments and more tactile interface that pedals provide. If they were going away, they would have done it by now. The ironic part of this on my end is that I've mostly been a "rack guy" since the 1980s when I switched from all pedals to a Roland GP-8 rack/pedal mix and eventually to all rackmount stuff while playing in the first of 3 bands/projects with this super-genius friend of mine named Brian Neunaber... The advent of MIDI-controllable loop switching rack units like the Voodoo GCX, Rocktron loop-8 etc. make it easy to blend both rackmount and pedals and be able to control it all via one MIDI interface on the floor. I'm running a GCX and Ground Control from VL with several old and new rack processors/modelers - including that old GP-8 that still has a patch in it circa '87 named "fuzzy Neubtone" :D Give these a listen. They kill, and Brian is a genius and a great guy. Give him some business, he's the real deal.

Iconoclast- A destroyer of false images, in context it literally means a person who destroys images of god, like some islamic factions that do not allow the portrayal of Muhammed in statues or paintings. It comes from a time period where images of gods were destroyed and consider blasphemous and heresy. It's a really strange name for speaker emulator.
@joemanganese6 жыл бұрын
I guess the name relates to the fact that IRs are not required to gain an excellent cAb sound, since they are not parametric as instead this Iconoclast is.
