I live on a house on a hill. Both sides have stairs. One side has normal height steps with a railing the other side has higher steeper steps no railing. Sometimes going down the steep steps I use only the leg on one side. Like just the left leg. It’s also mental, sometimes I feel anxious and am careful other times I feel fine and step both legs. Good video. Excellent channel. Thank you.

Well done. I’ve looked at Tumbleville 's fall many times. He starts out putting one foot on the step, drawing the second foot to that same step. But then by the third step, he changes to reciprocal. That’s when he lost his footing. Hate to see someone embarrassed and hurt. Usually. He was holding something. Went flying because of it.

The dearth of railings or such other safety features in the UK is a likely contributor to the falls/injuries relating to stairs.

I have a prosthesis, below the knee. Do you have specific videos addressing issues of balance, exercises, walking up and down curbs etc. I have started using your videos for seniors. I am 76.

How did the man in the video color coordinate his shoes and the steps? Perfect match!

A big problem is due to wearing progressive lenses or bifocal glasses; looking down at the steps or feet gives an incorrect image of actual distances, causing faulty foot placement, and stumbling or falling.

Those steps are way. to shallow. Most steps are very deep. Thats what I want to see, someone with severe Osteo-Arthritis going up deep steps.

Yes, I agree! At some point, I'd like to have actual stairs in our clinic to practice on. The person in this video is a client who suffered a head injury from a diving accident, not someone with Arthritis. Many of my more frail clients do not want to be filmed for fear of what others would say and think about their condition. Most of the clients who will agree to be filmed are the ones who are more active.
