Your body, because of caffeine, is purging minerals. As you loose magnesium especially, it will cause stress and anxiety. So get plenty of magnesium daily, 5 times your body weight in mg.. like Dr. Berg says you need to increase all minerals and if you can, cut back or stop caffeine. Alcohol does same thing in causing loss of minerals. So does having gut absorption issues.

Yes Eric, a few years ago I have learnt this while working on a research piece it came out caffeine stays in the body for (48/)72hours.. and so in the morning I have learnt to avoid the ritualistic coffee (it did cost me efforts withdrawing from this powerful ritual that was a charming relaxing centre-stage of the breakfast theatre,) in the morning all together because it will mimic the wake hormones to the receptors making the body producing less of it in returns and so making tiredness crippling in much faster and up cycling dependence to caffeine intake. During the day , the wake hormone is produced every 3/4 hours (7-8am/10-11/14-15pm/17-18) depending on metabolism and daylight between 7am & 6pm and these early times 7/8am coffee should be avoided all together to allow the receptors in the brain to read the real levels of hormone and regulate wake throughout the day. Caffeine is not so benevolent at 360° since it flushes the liver of trace minerals and important vitamins creating vicious cycles, of dangerous when protracted, health deficiencies; which then in return can activate dormant illnesses. 1 or 2 nice coffees are much more useful passed mid morning or in mid afternoon (3pm >>> 5) but not later than that if it's needed preserving early-ish sleep (as for 10pm)

It is a weird chemical. I tried to use it to lower my caffeine intake in 2019. As I recall, it kind of worked to replace the adenosine attached to brain. It didn't give the same creative and productive drive that caffeine gives. It seemed to work for only 4 hours, as I recall. But, I think it still screwed with my sleep at night, which is why I stopped using it. Cost was an issue too. I kind of recall that it seriously hurt my ability to fall asleep at night, 12 hours after. But caffeine still seriously messes with my sleep after 1 cup, 37 years after starting to drink coffee. I try to keep my coffee intake 200 mg caffeine or less, before 6 am. If I need 3 cups or 300 mg to wake up fully, I know that I won't be able to fall asleep, no matter how tired and sleep deprived.... I believe in taking 1 to 2 days off caffeine per week to keep the body sensitive to caffeine. But I have not practiced this since I got married, since this would mean sleeping in on Sunday until 2 pm (bed by 10 pm on Saturday), then going back to sleep by 7:30 pm Sunday night. Of course, my younger body and brain was trying to catch up after a week of averaging 7 hours of sleep per night with genes that require my brain to get 9 hours and 45 minutes of sleep per night to clear out all of the brain's metabolic waste products from a day of thinking. During dreaming is the only time that the blood brain barrier opens to let the glympatic fluid to clear out the neural metabolic waste away. This is why we cannot store up sleep, but our brain can rack up a sleep deficit that must be paid off. As the brain ages and thinks less, it might need less sleep to clear out the waste. Also, the lack of sleep will lead to fewer deep thoughts and less brain metabolic waste. I initially was puzzled by the tiny bag in which it came. I was going to send it back, but after a few days I realized that it was so powerful, I only needed a tiny amount.

Coffee just gives me the shakes and a little laxative effect, which keeps me regular. I will have one 10oz. cup in the morning with collagen powder, cream and a little sweetener. That usually holds me all day until dinnertime. I can only drink one cup, though, otherwise I get gut rot. I will sometimes mix up the herbals with some black and very limited green teas (I don't like green tea, so I'm picky about it). I felt like sleeping all the time and even giving it a week didn't help at all. In fact I would sleep for 24 hours straight if I was given the chance to and did on my one day off. So after losing another weekend to sleep i resigned myself to drinking caffeine again. Unfortunate, but I guess it's fine barring the collapse of civilization. I just have to take days off of drinking caffeine every now and then.

I think some people are just more tired than others too. I was a low energy person when I was younger before drinking coffee, regardless of how much I slept. Now I drink one cup of coffee a day and feel much better. Maybe our brains produce too much adenosine and the caffeine keeps it in check.
@Sara2016a Жыл бұрын
It’s the same for me. I have low blood sugar and if I don’t drink coffee, I’ll feel sleepy and tired all day long. Also coffee makes me happy 😆 so I can’t give it up. I’m gonna reduce it though cause I drink a lot.
@richardkremmen78112 жыл бұрын
Lots of acrylamide in coffee. I suggest green tea between meals and black tea during and after meals (black tea seems to help with digestion). Also, if you make your own Kombucha, it's good to include 1/2 t of Turmeric powder per pt. of 'booch during the secondary ferment.

Used to be able to drink coffee and diet soda all day without issue. Started to eliminate it the last 5-6 hours in order to sleep better, then suddenly a couple cups in the morning and I feel like I drank three pots of black coffee. Angst and jittery for hours. In my 50's now so I'm asssuming this is age related. Trying to mix regular coffee and decaf and restrict it to a couple cups in the morning.
@jude82232 жыл бұрын
I do not feel jittery with organic coffee. I also have no reaction to organic fermented coffee (Dayes brand). Long ago, I was told the jitters come from the pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides used in the soil when they grow coffee beans. Many of these, however, are manufactured within America, but only used in other countries. They are banned from use within the United States of America.

I quit coffee 2 months ago couldnt be happier. The first week was rough low energy. After about 10 days I had more energy than I ever had while I was using caffeine. I didnt like the fact I needed something everyday. I was only drinking 1 cup a day. It also disrupted my sleep. I was never getting good quality sleep. After I quit I actually started dreaming again. Im assuming I wasnt staying asleep long enough to dream. I always got the mid afternoon crash with coffee. No more. Yea I dont get the high energy from coffee my energy is more consistent throughout the day. I wake up energized. Im glad Im no longer addicted.

Scary. I have 99% of the listed negative effects when I drink coffee. One cup in the morning is the most I can can handle without severe anxiety and mood swings. Everything more than 1 cup a day pushes the symptoms way off the charts. I try to leave out the coffee completely. Another extreme symptome are skin problems such as psoriasis and itching.
