Thanks for this video. The 5 minute rule to start the meditation is profound. I have been using a mild variant of this “1 minute rule” over the past many years. It is magical when we tell our mind that it is just 1 minute … :) you can do it. 1 minutes turns out to be 15 , 30 and an hour goes marinating in the stillness. Biggest deterrent in any task is the inertia… we have cracked the code on that. Thanks for sharing this trick. God Bless 🙏🙏

I cant believe this! I was feeling bit down as I was falling off on my meditation routine and this video by you, my Guru, is so timely. It made me understand my 'Golden Thread'. No words just gratitude!

Thanks for sharing this message! I'd fallen off my meditation routine and felt a lot of resistance about starting up again because it seemed too hard to go back to the 30 minute sessions I left off at. Just did 10 mins of HRV-RB and some om japa. Felt great!

I came here looking for this very topic very timely! I've been mediating for 4 years but this last year I've fell of but I still have this feeling in Me that I should be meditating as it really felt like it gave my life direction when I was into it more

Most profound talk I’ve heard in many moons! I will listen to it at least several times. It helps me, as I am one of those people who has used the chaos of the world as an excuse to put off meditation. No more! ❤

So many truths here, even sitting in silence for a while is a form of quiet meditation; lol, I went the other way and had to limit my time otherwise, I wouldn't get everyday life done and I agree, it is magic in so many ways. People often remark about how young I look for my age and I believe, that it's not only good genes, that may be passed down from parents/ancestors etc., however, it's the ME time spent in meditation, there is so much more to be said for it. Namaste.

Thank you for making this video Forrest, I have just finished your book and the only stable part of my practice is HRV breathing for 10 minutes each day. Once that part is stable I will add the Navi Kriya, once that is stable I will add the Maha mudra and move on from there.

Recently I started to enjoy listening to the tick-tock of my old travel alarm clock and synchronizing my breathing with the help of the tick-tock sounds, like for example 4 ticks for an in breath and 6 for an out breath. Is that of any use or rather not? Thank you very much again for being on KZbin and doing all those many videos!

Great video I'm one of those that misses and ends up making up other days with longer sessions. I will work on consistency. I got distracted at the end by krishnas legs. I notice they are always crossed. I believe crossed legs has to do with hemispheres synchronizing. Those hints 🤔🤫🤫🤫

Hi Forrest. Love your HRV app. I have been doing 20 mins nightly almost consistently for the last few months and have experienced some really awesome moments. I am curious to know if it matters if I am sitting on a cushion on the floor or if I am in a chair? So far, long practice has been on my cushion but my legs sorta cramp up after a while. What is the best position? How do most of your students practice?

I have been practicing HRV Resonant breathing + SVS +OM JAPA in the Chakras + 4 Proofs + Hakalau + stretching daily and I am also stretching my tongue and doing the exercises to be able to do khechari kriya. This is the problem I am facing : I don't get the 4 Proofs And the freeze response because maybe I don't sit very still properly and my posture worsens during meditation and because I used to do the wim hof breathing method for 1.5 years and that used to give me the 4 Proofs but the sensation faded with time. I am still practicing daily in hopes of improving.

hi forrest, i have scilicosis which makes it hard to do hrv. my breath is mostly quick and shallow. does this mean i can never go deep in meditation?
@socratese52 ай бұрын
I’m not Forrest but if I may, just want to say just try to match the slowest deepest breath you can maintain while still feeling comfortable, as long as your mind is quiet you can go deep, and just like Forrest said, the fact that your breath is mostly quick and shallow is why it would be so good for you to practice, because it will help you reach the most helpful breath rhythm you can even with silicosis
