Thank you so much Forrest 💓 I do this breathing while stirring food on the stove. No moments are wasted for the householder yogi!

Agreed, Forrest, but I gotta say I still love the good ol' Pavlovian bell that tells my mind, "Hey, it's Holy Potato time! Get into the Cosmic Broth!" Blessings and blissings!

Hey Forest you know I don't even think I need to meditate. I just listened to you and I'm already there

Yes, I did the ‘wandering’ method of meditation for 3 years. Even the big names in spirituality don’t teach the fundamentals of Meditation as Forrest does. When I found Forrest 8 months ago, my eyes opened. Since then I have understood what meditation is. Thanks Forrest.😊

I am still working on establishing HRV Resonance, but I really appreciate your positive, practical, and direct approach Forrest. I have been trying to get to this point for 30 years, but now I see a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you so much.

A background in doing traditional yogic pranayama over decades made HRV fairly easy, at least for me. I get the 'hands hot and heavy' fairly quickly using your breath technique, much more quickly than I did using Robert Monroe's Focus 10 approach (which is fairly similar in terms of the state achieved).

One time I did HRV breathing for an hour before a school presentation and I walked into class like I was high 😂
@abe84352 ай бұрын
High as in feeling good or as in intoxicated? Did the presentation go well?
@poledan2 ай бұрын
@@abe8435 I felt like I just smoked some weed but without any of the bad side effects. Presentation was decent because my anxiety was much reduced and I could think more clearly.

oh! i did this a long time ago (not bragging) i am a percussionist - so i tap beats on my fingers like a metronome. i've also done EMDR - it works really well together. Absolutely the rate changes, get lazy and you have to start again too. (oops) So, just to prove that point if anyone wants to know i put on an online clock looked, closed my eyes and did 5 min of rounds; and i went from 7 to 4; Comfortably. yup got the HHH Thankyou so much Forrest. p.s. i've had anxiety disorder attacks so bad i can pass out- this breath work is awesome. holy potato! 🥰 By the way , what do you think of the idea of humming quietly with the out breath , I found that it made it easier to extend the breath.

At the moment I'm really starting to love the ticking of my old travel alarm clock. It's just a silent tick every second but I can focus on it really easily and experiment with certain in- and out breath rates, like for example 3:4, 4:6 or even 5:7 seconds or clock ticks. Sometimes I have to breath faster, sometimes slower and it helps to find out where I'm feeling comfortable. It's also possible to start with 3:4 and then check out how slow I can go without feeling uncomfortable. I also have a Beurer pulsoximeter where I sometimes watch my heartrate. It's a big help to find out when your heart starts to beat faster again (so I'll breath in) and when it starts to slow down again (sign to breath out). I think this is HRV resonance when the acceleration point/slowing down point of the heart beating and the in/out breathing synchronize? What I'm not sure about is how the counting influences the meditation, because I often count the breath ins (1, 2,3) and breath outs (1,2,3,4) in my mind in sync with the clock ticking. Anyways, thank you very much for this video and for being on KZbin!

Hello Forrest, I have a question - you and many researchers say the outbreath should be longer to go into HRV. I am working with the HeartMath Sensor and App and they are saying the in- and outbreath should be the same length, so for example 5 in and 5 out to go into HRV. For me the parasympathetic response is stronger with their breathing rate, also the sensor shows for me a better HRV response with the same in- and outbreath rhythm. What is your opinion on that? Thank you!

Isn't it dangerous to do artificial breathing???
@ForrestKnutson2 ай бұрын
If you controlled your breath excessively with extreme force in an unnatural gate over years of practice. ... This breath is more like learning to dance with your heart. No strain. No excessive force.
