Won't lie. She was my first crush. I was 6 or 7 the first time I saw it. I know I wasn't the only one, as our school would watch it once a year. Every single time the movie got to where Atreyu walked up the steps to meet her everyone jus kind of sat up, leaned forward expectedly in their seats. -- And then after the movie all denied it. "I don't like her!" "Yes you do!" "You were blushing!" "No I wasn't" "You like her too!" "Nuh uh!!" Every single year. 🤣

@@metalmacabre9991 Drugs and alcohol - every single child actor who goes down a bad path does so with the help of drugs and alcohol. But as you said, that's the same in normal life as well - so it does come back to the parents and home-life. The only reason it's so prevalent in Hollywood is because more money means faster and easier access to drugs and alcohol. Drew Barrymore said she started drinking at age 9 and was onto weed and cocaine by age 12/13. The laundry list of young actors who have done jail time - all of them were abusing drugs and alcohol - from RDJ to Keifer Sutherland to River Phoenix - all the people with bad wrap sheets were drug users or big drinkers.

This movie and the book is the reason I became an illustrator. I saw the movie when it came out and that first image of the ivory tower forever changed my life when I was 14. I knew then that I wanted to create worlds like that myself. And I’ve been working in illustration creating a lot of fantasy art for 30 years now. All because one day I saw this movie. @jessicaferrari3987 Жыл бұрын
I think you are applying your rightful "disgust" or "concern" for you father to people that were kids when they were finding these other kids attractive. I was like 8 when I had a crush on Atreyu's actor. He was what, 11-12? Idk...but it feels really normal. Kids have attraction for other kids and it is the healthiest thing! I think you could think about this in a way that makes you less upset with people. They (and me) are talking about stomach butterflies for finding a kid beautiful/handsome (which they objectively were, they were casted also for being pleasing on the screen), in a time when they were probably younger or the same age as the actors! 😅 Your dad was a bit creepy thou. Drooling over a child. That...yeah, no. 😂 We, instead, were also "really little kids"!❤ Btw, Noah is nothing as "pleasing looking" as he was as a kid, but I would fall for a guy like him today, no bs, straight to the point, deep layered. A dude with marks on his skin methaphorically and literally. With different ages we appreciate different things! Or that's how it should work I think. Well, your father would say otherwise probably 😂 just kidding, was ment as a harmless dark joke. I had a father that was way way way worse, so...let's just laugh about creepy fathers.
@rym2728 Жыл бұрын
Your post is super disturbing and creepy! Did you not have any crushes when you were a child? If not then that’s weird. The fact that you would post something about your father, an adult, “drooling” over the appearance of a child is beyond weird. You criticize grown adults for saying they had crushes on child actors WHEN they were children of the same age. How is that weird? It’s pretty normal and healthy behavior to have crushes as a child btw. You admit for some strange reason on a public forum without any provocation that your own father was some weird, creepy, perverted pedo. That’s weird. You call people weird when YOU’RE the weirdo. I’m sure you’ve spent a lot of money and time on therapy but what gives you the right to criticize and belittle other people? Go unpack your own messed up childhood on some INFJ platform and stop judging and gaslighting people who are fans of The Neverending Story. Geez. We all pray that you get the help that you need and have been looking for soon 🙏.
