Neverwinter Mod 16 Rogue Build

I stumbled across your video and just want to say great job! My main has been a TR for years, and though mod 16 has made things very cookie cutter, I still see people that don't understand their class and don't know how to play it. You did a great job explaining and both your single target and AOE builds are almost identical to how I've been running my TR. Keep up the good work.

Couple questions for ya. What are your thoughts on the Protege/Spys shirt vs Ebony? Do encounters come back quick enough to outperform the 3% boost? Next question, aside from Barbarians Revelry, what other insignia bonuses do you run? Thanks.

for the Rogue I recommend going with the Ebony Chest, and primal arms, those two items out-perform any other items you can slot there by about 4%, then go heels of fury for feet, protege helm for +5% damage in undermountian, the demon lord set for neck/belt artifact, and two new ToMM rings. I strongly suggest adding Survivor's blessing, and champions return to your Mount insignia bonuses. those both can improve survival a bit seeing as we no longer have life steal.

@@coryvanneste3600 Honestly, both are valid. I just prefer Charisma for the little bit extra companion stats, as well as the slight improvement in cooldown times on encounters, you would find in testing that going either way results in roughly the same damage increase on your character.

For the love of God, explain me what Master Of Shadow does. What does " drain 50% as fast" mean? Can I stay 3 seconds longer in stealth? Or do i lose 3 seconds of stealth time? I have the feat on but my stealth lasts 6 seconds, nothing changed

your stealth last less but also recharges faster. its pretty good as you can throw more abilities with stealth

in what scenario are you referring to? Rogue is slightly better single target, but Ranger is much better in AOE... pretty much a wash in most content. pick the class you enjoy playing

noob question here... are you constantly toggling between aoe and single target and is there a quick way to swap loadouts to make this feasible? thanks.

I just swap loadouts at campfires before/ after a boss fight. always just run AOE for solo play

Is smokebomb still good since it’s 22 second cooldown?

even with the cool down it's still fantastic in AOE, especially when dropped from stealth solo. the one big change for the Rogue in mod 16 is you need to spend a little time and patience planning out each attack.. just dashing from one encounter to the next while solo isn't going to yield you the best results

doesn't really matter enough to make a true difference... but if you are looking at .0000000001% differences.. then Half Orc Probably has the edge.

use single target for Bosses, use trash build for soloing, and mobs between bosses.

What companions do you slot for the bonuses?

You slot whatever you need to get your stats where they need to go, if you can balance stats without those companion bonuses, then slot for power.. otherwise good companions include the hunting hawk (4% at legendary, at melee range), and the batiri which is pretty much best in slot fore bosses. this is going to be highly subjective to what your own stats look like, and how much AD you have to blow.

Ok tyvm! Oh I'm fairly new to game still you mentioned having an augment companion summoned and was curious what you mean by that?

@@brandonmcginnis580 yeah, there are a number of companion that are augments, which means they don't do attacks, or take damage, but you get better stats from them. they should be clearly marked as "augments" when you hover over them. For a full list of companions google "rainer pocket wiki"
