The frameset price is not bad and if you get it with Ultegra and a two piece bar and stem it's about the time price as the Tarmac SL6 Pro. Those are the two most affordable ways to get the top frameset (frame, fork and seatpost).

I ride a Teammachine SLR01 Disc 2019 51 frame size and think it is very comfortable but also sometimes a bit to soft in the back. It happens every know and then where i lock at the back wheel to check if i have a flat tire. So, improving stifness would have been on my wishlist as well. Looks like they made the right adjustments.
@cormacatcyclesierranevada14514 жыл бұрын
Funny, if you watch other reviews they don't have the same criticism - but if your bike feels too stiff just let some air out of your tires!

@@cormacatcyclesierranevada1451 Typically ride 80psi, knocked it down to 75. Stiffness/compliance is subjective, also affected by frame size, and as you say touchpoints/tyres, also wheels - did a bit of a dive into it here www.cyclingweekly.com/news/product-news/is-stiffer-really-faster-459045

Michelle Arthurs-Brennan In theory the smaller bike should have resulted in a more compliant ride and I don’t disagree that stiffness can be subjective.

Can you fit the aero bottle cages on the older teammachines? Have a 2016 slr 01
@jochem19864 жыл бұрын
Technically yes, but the mounting points are in a different location, and the downtube shape is much rounder on the older ones, meaning you'll have a gigantic gap on the side.

You could put some more aero wheels with tubeless tires run lower pressures and it would make it a lot smoother. I'd sacrifice the weight difference in a heartbeat but that's because I'm old.

8:01 incorrect. You get the ICS Carbon on the top end models, not the ICS2
@cormacatcyclesierranevada14514 жыл бұрын
You're both wrong, the ICS1 comes on the SLR01 ONE, TWO and the ICS2 is on the SLR01 THREE and FOUR. The lower end frameset the SLR comes with standard bars and fork with the exception of the SLR ONE - which comes with the ICS2.

Great review. I am considering buying this frame, same color, but wonder how much more compliant the non-01 SLR model is. Do you have any insight regarding such comparison? I would potentially add 28 or 30c tires for the extra comfort due to the many cracks and rough spots where I live and ride. I am sure it is more compliant than the 2013 BMC SLR01 model I currently ride (non-tubeless 25c)... Thanks!
@Datboyvideo2 жыл бұрын
I rode the SLR rather than the SLR01 for 3 weeks. I immediately returned the SLR and paid up for the SLR01. The SLR model felt sluggish, less responsive, and under 500+ watts acted DRAMATICALLY different. When standing putting down power I could feel the fork bending and hear my disks rubbing back and forth. SLR01 had NONE of this. Still to this day doesn't.

Without 30mm tires you judged the comfort?? Are you guys nuts? Every other reviewer who actually used the bike properly said its most comfortable lightweight bike out there... Also wondering why a woman's input on a bike that's supposedly unisex (i.e. for men AND women) would be less valid. Her input is equally as valid, because the bike - supposedly - is equally designed for her to ride as it is for a man.
