Very comprehensive review and well structured. I see you did it all in 1 take without edits. It's clear you prepped well for this first impressions video. I'll be getting the 2024 CBR400R here in Japan. It's the same as the 500R model in Europe but detuned to comply with Japanese tiered licensing (similar to A2 licenses, but capped at 400cc instead of 46 PS). Benefit for us here is the 400R redlines at 10,000 RPM instead of 8,500 for the 500R. Love how the whole 2024 line-up for Honda bikes has a similar aesthetic with the red bodywork and blue decals/styling. Have a great time with your new bike, she's a beast.

Those roads look great! in the UK i am watching for pot holes everywhere at the moment. Yours is one of the first reviews I have seen for it that are not from the Philippines and e-clutch. I can add that if you buy the quickshifter its a lot of fun :) Just hold the throttle constant and flick up the gears even at low rpm for cruising around. I still haven't completed break-in phase, my service is due on april 11th - I started on an SV 650 which has much more power from the bottom up, the CBR 650R feels mighty at first but it's got really good handling and a very linear power band. The cbr650r is at the “outer edge” of what could be considered a beginner bike. While it has a pretty stout top speed (around 150 mph) it doesn’t have a lot of low end torque. This makes it a little better for the beginner since it doesn’t tend to “leap off the line” at intersections if you give it a little more throttle than you intend. Since you’re 24 and not a teenager, you likely have the maturity to start on this kind of bike. The good thing is that it can also be a “keeper” for quite some time since, at 95 horsepower, it’s much more powerful on the top end than most bikes you might start on.
@uros29097 ай бұрын
@@someoneelse1i1i Thank you for your comment. Yeah, that part about being a "keeper" is definitely one of the reasons as to why I would buy one, since I won't get bored of it after one year of riding, and I can always learn some new things on it for several years. I also think it's a great middleweight bike where you get the power, but like you said, it won't kick you off the seat if you give a lot of throttle, and it can keep up with likes ZX6R, R6, GSX6R and such.

Just found the channel while looking new cbr650r videos. Saying because you mentioned about video quality advice. You should check the options of your camera for stability. Image is very shaky. While you are downshifting even with slipper clutch without any electronic help it is unhealthy for your gearbox if you don't do revmatch. It’s a brand new bike, which means, it’s important to handle it in a variety of different ways, sometimes you rev merch but it’s also important to give the engine a feel for sudden engine breaking as well, if you look closely, I am Rev matching

Looks great, just such a bummer Honda didn't put in the effort to shed weight and add torque down low. It's just not exciting to ride to me. If i were to buy this bike it would be for the looks but not for the excitement. If I'm not mistaken it also not cheap. Add 1000 euro more and you get yourself a street triple RS or a duke 890r. Which are far superior bikes.

In terms of power, yeah you can get something stronger for less. Even my SV650 blows the cbr out of the water. But that’s not really what its about, it’s much more about the lifestyle of naked vs Sport. I figured out I prefer sport much more even with the limited torque!

The E-clutch of course is not neccessary unless you have a left hand disability like myself OR do a lot of slow speed commuting....actually an E clutch would also be WONDERFUL in a manual shift sports car when in stop and go traffic ....whoever said it would be expensive to maintain? THAT makes no sense Honda builds stuff to last it is just a couple little motors and a mechanism that is controlled by the ECU....lots of stuff on the bike will need more maintence than that Ill bet....motorcycles in general are maintence intensive compared to automobiles....LOL anyone that is afraid of maintence costs? LOL a Sportbike is not a good choice! Wait until you pay for a a full service with valve adjustment! And if you ride hard those tires wont last 5k miles and drive chain maybe 15 0r 20....then again ridden gently not canyon carving just highway you can go some miles on tires etc ....my tires never last more than 3k and damn they are getting PRICEY! Like $500 a pop
