🚨 NEW Berkley Slobberknocker vs Z-Man Jackhammer Bladed Jig Comparison (Honest Opinion)

Well done. I fish both but definitely prefer the jackhammer it seems to hunt more in the water as being more erratic and draws more reaction strikes. The Berkeley bladed jig is good for night fishing because it puts out a different vibration and seems to have more drag in the water allowing you to fish it slower. I’ve also had luck with the slobberknocker ripping it off the bottom and letting it fall. I wonder what would happen if you were to shave the blade down on the Berkeley bait if it would hunt more

The Slobberknocker has one advantage over a Jackhammer... The bar that connects the blade to the head limits the lateral roll of the Slobberknocker. For this reason, Slobberknockers come over wood cover better than Jackhammers. My advice is save the Slobberknocker for fishing brush and laydowns, and use the Jackhammer everywhere else.

you also forgot the it also has powerbait infused in there skirts which jackhammer doesn't. I personally am a jackhammer guy. I may try a slober knocker once though.

I have had very good success so far with the Slobberknocker so I have no bad things to say about it. Lets see after another season of using it.

Until u try the shockblade pro u have not rushed the best bladed jig out there . Put the shockblade pro vs the jackhammer then you will the best in action. Oh! and buy the way the shockblade pro only cost 9.99 at tackle warehouse.

THe past 6 months i've caught more fish on the slobberknocker. The green pumpkin and red one (not sure the name) is awesome with a green razor shadz

Does the slobberknocker rise in the water column like the original chatters? It's the only reason i prefer the jackhammer, but watching the way that knocker bends makes me think it'd work swell around wood and lay downs.

I’ll have to check on livescope for the rising. I recall it running similar to the jackhammer, I haven’t had any issues with it running too shallow

Get yourself a Thunder Cricket and you will be glad you did. I caught a 7.8, a 6.7, a 5.8 and a few smaller ones within a few hours using a gold Thunder Cricket and have had many days similar to that..

Have you tried the Thunder Cricket? I'm partial to the cricket due to the amount of fish catches. I'm not the best chatter bait fisherman but they are fun to throw. Am enjoying your video content.

@@goodmanfishing I like most of the Googan lures especially the scout (jerkbait), the clickbait is one I can do without. Worst lure out of the chatterbait line up. Talk about a lack of response. Thanks for your reply.

OK, to settle the language/name debate, Slobberknocker evokes an image of a drunk fat loudmouth staggering around the bar, crashing into furniture, people, etc. Jackhammer sounds like the nickname of the guy who punched said drunk loudmouth. Jackhammer for the win.

i highly dislike the blade attachment on the berkley product. just dont like the feel, look, action, keeper... the only thing i thing they nailed is the skirt, which can be changed so thats not really a valid point imo.
