For more than 20 years I lives in poor rural agricultural area in SW Michigan. This was during a time of intense heat and drought. Many days I drove by the open field of "pickles" with Hispanic workers in the hot fields picking by hand. It was well above the one hundred temp marks. I remember thinking not only of hot hot and miserable this work must be but that no caucasion people would be out there in those fields day after day in the heat. We should be very grateful to the immigrants who harvest our food.

More people have the money and desire to eat meat. So inflation isn't a problem

Sad, but in the next few years an apple will cost you up to $10 ea. Why you ask? Who's working the fields? I'm a white male, 72 and a Nam Vet. I have worked in the fields of: San Jose, Bakersfield, Stocken for extra cash. Hard work, I believe takes real man and woman to do. Not too many here in this country> Sad.
