Crazy how much technology in agriculture now! Ivers Farms has nice operation in southern Illinois. They run some red and discuss the Case speed tiller in this vid link kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpDWapeGr9GBh5o

This interview shows how much you know about what is important to farmers, it is obvious that you have listened to the people using the equipment and what they want and need in a piece of equipment. I am sure your questions made the man explaining the equipment's functions job so much better than it would have been if someone less prepared would have made the interview. I am sure when he watches this he will realize how much better his explanation of the points farmers want to know about were made thanks to you. His competitors, if they watch this, will also want you to interview them so in case they don't emphasize the importance of some part of their equipment you will be there to prompt them with a carefully phrased question to bring that point out. I can see that you prepared for this interview and didn't just stroll up and let the man make a quick pitch. I don't have a job where I would do an interview but if I did this would be what I would want to do, ask the important questions in a way that makes the person's job easier without acting like you know so much more than them and setting the wrong tone. Great job.

I’ll give the Aussies this: it seems like K-Line made good tillage tools
@troyadamswaymarfarm52244 жыл бұрын
On our farm we still run some old K-Line tillage equipment, In my opinion some of the heaviest and best designed tillage equipment for Australian conditions... we actually use our 15.5m (51ft) K-Line Speedtiller Powerflex Mammoth to level sucker regrowth in our pasture paddocks. K-Line Ag was founded by an Australian bloke by the name of Richard Larson back in 1993. Sorry to see it being painted red now and not green.. at least we know CASE has good tillage equipment now..😂😁

Yeah.. kinda like The Deere 2 Track tractor being so great.. why would they have a 4🤔🤷♂️. And the Rotor Combine being no good claimed by the Green Freaks.. Why the hell would Deere have one of them?

It’s really tough to film at these shows. Not allot of space and many people walking around. This interview helps me know more about the machine when I film it in the field.

He really needs to practice his presentation, get it better organized, less wordy more the point.

Great video. I thought the Case guy did a good job of explaining the machine. All the way to the end where he described how lifting the finishing roller would put more weight on the disks etc. He explained why tires are used and for what type of soil etc and not everyone here is a professional farmer. I play Farming Simulator 17 and am interested in learning about all the different types of machines and soils and crops. And yeah both my parents grew up on farms which I spent a lot of time on so I am not just some city slicker.😊

We used a K Line Speed tiller for a couple seasons, rented from Flamman rentals. It would plug the discs if you so much as looked at it funny. If you went through anything soddy, a slough or we had a hailed out barley stubble field that had all sprouted and turned green in the fall. The discs would plug, then act like a dozer blade and push a big mound of dirt. You would constantly have to watch the disc for plugging. Would never use again in our conditions
@bigtractorpower4 жыл бұрын
That is unfortunate. In Western New York State Farm’s have all been going to K-Line over the past 6 years. A friend of mine just bought a 22ft this year to replace a Landoll disk. Another friend in WNY runs three 40ft models on their farm and another two 40fts. They all rave about how good they are.

@@bigtractorpower most people in this area (Central Alberta) have gone to Degelman Protill. We went with a Versatile Viking for the adjustable gang angles. Wish we would have gone with the Landoll VT Plus (same concept at the Viking, but appears to be better built)
@stirv64622 жыл бұрын
Do you think the protill would plug in your conditions? Maybe your neighbors in similar conditions, is it working better for them? Ever look at Lemken or know people that have?

I don't see what the big deal is with this piece of equipment,John Deere has a no-till planter and has had it on the market for years so why would you need this thing?.

Good video big tractor power. The rep should of started with “ the biggest advantage to the piece of equipment is that it was designed, engineered and built (was) in Australia). Sad seeing another aussie company taken over because they can’t design something themselves.
@alanbyers6571 Жыл бұрын
and Deere is different how? they didn't build or design the Waterloo Boy....they bought because they couldn't design anything worthwhile..i believe they did the same with their 4wds..you are a Jd fan, you should know these things
@tf72744 жыл бұрын
Seems like everyone is ripping off each other and regardless of what is being engineered...Case IH and Deere are waiting to pick off the 3rd party who outsells them.

How will it work in the sandy soils. I feel it may be too aggressive and make it to fine and it will blow
@Jorrie864 жыл бұрын
For sandy soils I can recommend the Kelly Diamond Harrow ... not as aggressive and leaves enough residue to prevent top soil from blowing away 😀👍
