Dr Dray can I just say you have SAVED my skin!!! I don’t know why I ignored the recommendations so long but I finally got a dermatologists recommended routine. I have oily blemish prone skin, but I definitely don’t have full blown acne. I just get constant white heads and congested skin that I’ve never been able to solve since I was a teenager. And being in my late 20s now I was like WHEN WILL THIS END!!?? I’ve tried so many products over the years but nothing made much of a difference. I finally said enough is enough and searched for derm recommended skincare online and from yourself, Doctorly and some others on KZbin I found the same type of routine and same products recommended by each of you. Also I live in the UK so often a lot of the products you guys recommend we can’t get in the UK, for example we can’t get Adapalene over the counter and we have very little in the way of benzoyl peroxide products. So I went onto iHerb and got myself some American products and I haven’t even had them for a week yet and the improvement is so amazing I could almost cry!!! My texture, congestion, break outs, skin tone, everything is just improving each day! I can’t believe it’s my own skin! My routine is: AM CeraVe SA cleanser Neutrogena AM Stubborn Acne benzoyl peroxide treatment Differin Oil absorbing moisturiser with SPF PM The Ordinary squalane cleanser CeraVe SA cleanser Neutrogena PM Stubborn Marks retinol treatment CeraVe PM moisturiser This routine has been life changing in just a few days! And it’s inexpensive and so simple! So just thank you so much Dr Dray!

Did you pay any taxes from Iherb?
@L-jm9mq
@L-jm9mq 2 жыл бұрын
@@depymarcoyanni iHerb does include the taxes cost at checkout. Which I don’t mind because at least it’s there upfront. I hate when I order stuff from USA and then suddenly I have customs and tax duties to pay that I didn’t know about. At least when I get anything off iHerb they tell you the tax at checkout so there’s no nasty surprises!

Careful with using the SA cleanser before the retinol. Dr Dray says that it can nullify the retinol, I think👀

@@lonankenwright4855 yes I am still using this routine daily! My skin is by no means perfect but I definitely notice a huge reduction on breakouts when I’m on this routine. If I stop using these products I soon know because the whiteheads come back! It just really helps keep my congested skin under some sort of control.

Same! I almost never wear makeup when I have cystic acne. But the oil cleanser seems to grab all the gunk and oil from my face, plus breakdown sunscreen. My skin is sensitive enough that even makeup wipes or cotton rounds can irritate it, so the oil cleanser has been a godsend.

I tried both of these products and didn't really have a great experience with either of them. To remove makeup now necessary that the school year has started, I added the cleansing balm to my night routine before Cereve Foaming Facial wash and Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair, which I have been using without problems for a couple of months. The retinol stung like crazy and also stung the second night after discontinuing the balm. Re the eye makeup remover, yes it does cut through the mascara bleed beneath my lower eyelashes, but I agree with you about the packaging. It's only a matter of time before I spill that bottle because the cap is so difficult to get off, especially with arthritis. Plus, one knock and the bottle spills. Enjoy your videos and have learned so much!

Girl.... I HAVE noticed your new eye makeup game and I love it on you! I am super excited to see the new Cerave products and will definitely try them both once my current ones are used up. Maybe by then they'll have a larger tub of the cleanser balm. I was going to try the Clinique balm at some point but now, Cerave it is. I am happy to hear the eye makeup remover separates which means it's moisturizing and not drying (or burns), like the Clinique take the day off eye makeup remover I currently use. Thank you again for this review!

What would be super awesome for the more affordable cleansing balms to do is to not only include a spatula, but to also have snap-in storage slot for the spatula on the lid much like some to-go containers for packing lunches. I've only seen such a thing from Drunk Elephant and Tatcha, but I ain't paying those prices. It's really annoying when a spatula is provided but with no real clean way to store it. Will definitely try the new Cerave cleansing balm, though. I wonder how it compares to e.l.f.'s. 😍

For the eye make up remover lid, you could either put it in a travel size bottle with a fliptop lid or maybe one of your bottles you’re throwing away will have a fliptop lid, find one that’s the same size as the opening on the make up remover. Sidenote; price per ounce on the cleansing balm is equivalent to price per ounce for Elemis.. which I buy when it’s on sale half off at Ulta as it is my favorite of all tine. The Elemis naked cleansing balm is fragrance free and it still has a lovely texture.

For travel, I bring a tiny powder eyeshadow jar with a screw cap and just dispense a bit of a balm into it. Works great for a week or so of removing sunscreen.

I've been using cotton disks daily for 30 years - they vary a lot! Some you just soak and place for a few seconds on the eyelid and they remove the stuff all at once without rubbing. Others don't work at all! As a remover I've always been using the Jade Maybelline two phase cleanser. CeraVe will be my first change in 30 years - I love CeraVe, too!

Yes, Dabbing/gently pressing rather than wiping/dragging is much better to remove eye-make up. I then just 'tickle' the eyelashes with a folded make-up round to remove any excess mascara. I then rinse my face over the bathrub, using a hand-held hose. 👱‍♀️❤

You don't need cotton rounds if you use an oil cleanser to double cleanse. I haven't used eye remover, wipes, micellar water or rounds for years thanks to Dr Dray.

I'm prejudiced too when it comes to Cereve. I'm never disappointed with their products. Won't be getting these, tho, only because I don't wear makeup. I'm a fairly new subscriber, but I really enjoy your channel. I've learned so much! Thank you. 😊👍🐾

A lot of the eye makeup removers, Clinique, Neutrogena, have the same opening, which is very wasteful in dispensing. I now transfer it to a travel bottle that you can buy at the chemist which you flip with a small opening on too. It saves a lot of product

I’ve switched to Cerave products since watching your videos- I’m 63 and I think my skin is looking more polished and feels softer. I wish the body lotion was easier to get out of the bottle- the pump didn’t work and then trying to get the CeraVe lotion out was difficult.

I also ordered the CeraVe Cleaning Balm from Amazon. I love it all CeraVe products I've used!!! I have dry and very sensitive skin, and the balm removed all traces of moisturizer and sunscreen, which at the time, I was using a sticky and tacky sunscreen. It left my face very soft, supple, clean with no film left behind. I was very impressed. I know there have been complaints of the small size, but literally a pea size does the job for me. I also wish a spatula had been included, too. Thanks Dr. Dray for the video. I still will continue with CeraVe Facial Hydrating Cleanser (my favorite). Also, a shout out to you for a recommendation of Cotz Flawless Complexion Tinted Mineral Sunscreen, SPF 50. Finally, an affordable and great facial sunscreen that doesn't break me out and goes on so smooth! Thank you!!!

Hey Dr. Dray! I just flew within the past month or so and I brought my Pixi Caroline Hirons cleansing balm in my carry on, went through security zero issues! I've found within the past couple of years TSA has really stopped caring about the whole liquids thing. Unless it's a literal liquid, I have brought through a variety of creams, ointments, sunscreens etc. not in the plastic bag with no problems.

I'm confused...makeup cleansing balm jar states not to avoid direct contact with eyes and if you do to rinse thoroughly with water . In this video it is stated that she uses to remove eye makeup as well - which can definitely get in your eye.

It is surprising but I love watching you experiment with nail polish and makeup. I am an older lady watching you since 2017, definitely 2018 regularly. It has been a joy watching you develop, change, grow your hair out, discuss your eating and exercise, in addition to providing your opinion on skin care. Used to buy expensive products and still not be happy with my skin, now 5% tranexamic. licorice root, CeraVe, and other you have spoken of and am much happier. If you ever decide to critique make up I would certainly be happy to watch those as well.

I'm happy using the CeraVe Foaming Cleansing Oil. I didn't like it at first, because I thought it was going to foam straight away when I rubbed it onto my face. I now know it 'comes alive' and emulsifies when water is added. I used to then wipe it off with disposable/washable make-up rounds/cloth; but now I either rinse it off in the shower...or rinse just my face & neck by putting my head over the bath tub and rinsing (with warm water) using à hand-held spray hose. I find it keeps my bathroom basin cleaner and I also enjoy the feeling of the water spraying on my face. Spraying my skin also cleans out my eyes and ears I still use my (discounted) supply of Olay micellar water to take off my eye make-up. I use make-up remover rounds and dab off as much as possible and then wipe my upper & lower eyelashes gently. I have lots of cleansers to follow up with. My current favourite is the Creigtons Salicylic Foaming Clay Cleanser. I now prefer to spray off cleansers rather than dragging on my skin by using wipes/rounds/cloths etc. 👱‍♀️❤

@@fish_toof I use the elf balm, it’s good. It’s 2oz for $12-13,comes with a spatula, so not much less expensive than the Cerave. I find oil cleansers just easier to use, pump onto fingers and rub it in. I use the ROHTO Hadalabo Gokujun oil, also a Dr. Dray recommendation. It’s about $15 on Amazon, lasts for months.

I have used and loved Cerave products since they came out. I have very sensitive skin and Rosacea and this brand works well on my skin. When you first talked about double cleansing I went looking for a drugstore balm and found Ponds cleansing balm. I loved the product and the price was amazing $9.99(Walgreens) for over 3 ounces. As it is with so many things I fall in love with, they discontinued making the product. I was so frustrated and couldn’t find anything I could afford to use. I heard Clinique take the day off cleansing balm was amazing so I bought it. It is in fact amazing but I cannot afford $36 a month on cleansing balm. I am so excited that Cerave has come out with a cleansing balm and I’m sure I’ll love it. It is pretty high for them for such a small amount of product but… Thanks so much for reviewing it, I’ll be buying today.
