Dr Dray can I just say you have SAVED my skin!!! I don’t know why I ignored the recommendations so long but I finally got a dermatologists recommended routine. I have oily blemish prone skin, but I definitely don’t have full blown acne. I just get constant white heads and congested skin that I’ve never been able to solve since I was a teenager. And being in my late 20s now I was like WHEN WILL THIS END!!?? I’ve tried so many products over the years but nothing made much of a difference. I finally said enough is enough and searched for derm recommended skincare online and from yourself, Doctorly and some others on KZbin I found the same type of routine and same products recommended by each of you. Also I live in the UK so often a lot of the products you guys recommend we can’t get in the UK, for example we can’t get Adapalene over the counter and we have very little in the way of benzoyl peroxide products. So I went onto iHerb and got myself some American products and I haven’t even had them for a week yet and the improvement is so amazing I could almost cry!!! My texture, congestion, break outs, skin tone, everything is just improving each day! I can’t believe it’s my own skin! My routine is: AM CeraVe SA cleanser Neutrogena AM Stubborn Acne benzoyl peroxide treatment Differin Oil absorbing moisturiser with SPF PM The Ordinary squalane cleanser CeraVe SA cleanser Neutrogena PM Stubborn Marks retinol treatment CeraVe PM moisturiser This routine has been life changing in just a few days! And it’s inexpensive and so simple! So just thank you so much Dr Dray!

I tried both of these products and didn't really have a great experience with either of them. To remove makeup now necessary that the school year has started, I added the cleansing balm to my night routine before Cereve Foaming Facial wash and Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair, which I have been using without problems for a couple of months. The retinol stung like crazy and also stung the second night after discontinuing the balm. Re the eye makeup remover, yes it does cut through the mascara bleed beneath my lower eyelashes, but I agree with you about the packaging. It's only a matter of time before I spill that bottle because the cap is so difficult to get off, especially with arthritis. Plus, one knock and the bottle spills. Enjoy your videos and have learned so much!

What would be super awesome for the more affordable cleansing balms to do is to not only include a spatula, but to also have snap-in storage slot for the spatula on the lid much like some to-go containers for packing lunches. I've only seen such a thing from Drunk Elephant and Tatcha, but I ain't paying those prices. It's really annoying when a spatula is provided but with no real clean way to store it. I'm confused...makeup cleansing balm jar states not to avoid direct contact with eyes and if you do to rinse thoroughly with water . In this video it is stated that she uses to remove eye makeup as well - which can definitely get in your eye.

I received an email from Cerave about the new products and got excited! Then I also thought I’ll wait until Dr. Drays review. 😉

It is surprising but I love watching you experiment with nail polish and makeup. I am an older lady watching you since 2017, definitely 2018 regularly. It has been a joy watching you develop, change, grow your hair out, discuss your eating and exercise, in addition to providing your opinion on skin care. Used to buy expensive products and still not be happy with my skin, now 5% tranexamic. licorice root, CeraVe, and other you have spoken of and am much happier. If you ever decide to critique make up I would certainly be happy to watch those as well.

Great segment. I would love to see a comparison between the Cerave & Neutrogena cleansing balms.

Both of the products you're talking about are for sale at Ulta Jax, FL. I hadn't seen them at Target yet. But I was at Ulta Monday, and they have them on the shelves.

I have been double cleansing with the “Ponds” cleansing balm for 4 years now, I love it and would never go back to any other way of facial cleansing. What do you think of the Ponds cleansing balm Dr. dray? Thanks in advance. 😊

I'm happy using the CeraVe Foaming Cleansing Oil. I didn't like it at first, because I thought it was going to foam straight away when I rubbed it onto my face. I now know it 'comes alive' and emulsifies when water is added. I used to then wipe it off with disposable/washable make-up rounds/cloth; but now I either rinse it off in the shower...or rinse just my face & neck by putting my head over the bath tub and rinsing (with warm water) using à hand-held spray hose. I find it keeps my bathroom basin cleaner and I also enjoy the feeling of the water spraying on my face. Spraying my skin also cleans out my eyes and ears I still use my (discounted) supply of Olay micellar water to take off my eye make-up. I use make-up remover rounds and dab off as much as possible and then wipe my upper & lower eyelashes gently. I have lots of cleansers to follow up with. My current favourite is the Creigtons Salicylic Foaming Clay Cleanser. I now prefer to spray off cleansers rather than dragging on my skin by using wipes/rounds/cloths etc. 👱♀️❤

@@fish_toof I use the elf balm, it’s good. It’s 2oz for $12-13,comes with a spatula, so not much less expensive than the Cerave. I find oil cleansers just easier to use, pump onto fingers and rub it in. I use the ROHTO Hadalabo Gokujun oil, also a Dr. Dray recommendation. It’s about $15 on Amazon, lasts for months.
@chellycordoba69462 жыл бұрын
@@fish_toof definitely recommend, I really like it or you can also try the hada labo cleansing oil as someone else commented. It’s also really good that’s my favorite cleansing oil!

I have used and loved Cerave products since they came out. I have very sensitive skin and Rosacea and this brand works well on my skin. When you first talked about double cleansing I went looking for a drugstore balm and found Ponds cleansing balm. I loved the product and the price was amazing $9.99(Walgreens) for over 3 ounces. As it is with so many things I fall in love with, they discontinued making the product. I was so frustrated and couldn’t find anything I could afford to use. I heard Clinique take the day off cleansing balm was amazing so I bought it. It is in fact amazing but I cannot afford $36 a month on cleansing balm. I am so excited that Cerave has come out with a cleansing balm and I’m sure I’ll love it. It is pretty high for them for such a small amount of product but… Thanks so much for reviewing it, I’ll be buying today.

I've never done well with a cleansing balm on my eyes.. the hada labo cleansing oil that Dr. Dray recommended a couple of years ago is amazing! never irritates my eyes and does such a nice job! followed by la roche posay gentle hydrating cleanser..

This makes me very happy!! Dr. Dray, you have totally turned me on to Cera Ve and I don’t use anything else now, with exception of a cleansing balm. Now it’s going to be CeraVe all that I way for me!! Thanks for the review!

Happy Wed Dr Dray and everyone ! I love to double cleanse . Even at 59 I still have oily acne prone skin ,so removing all traces of dirt , sweat ,makeup is a must . Currently I am using Natrium purple ginseng cleanser and a peach and lily cleanser . I prefer the balms that go milky . I find them easier to remove . HAve a fabulous day . love to mom and Tybee xoxoxoxo
