The Quilted Forest

A mystery quilt is where you pick out fabric and cut and sew according to the directions without actually knowing what the finished project will look like. You have to trust us that the pattern will work out! We tested this pattern at our spring retreat and had many who finished the quilt top and some of them even loved their quilt top! The pattern is tried and true and you will watch every step of my quilt top and learn some tips and tricks on the way. During the last clue you will see the finished quilt and a SECOND quilt we have made using Kansas Troubles fabrics! It is so pretty!
Join us every other Sunday for this mystery quilt! This is clue five of six different clues. The finished size of the quilt top is 54" x 54". You can obviously make it bigger if desired. I will share some options during the last clue to make it larger. I will also give you some ideas during the last clue if you want a rectangular versus square quilt top. Each clue will contain the cutting and piecing instructions for part of the quilt. Patterns are available in the files section of our Facebook group called The Quilted Forest Friends, which may be found at this link:
/ 348191223475240 .
The full instructions are in the video, you can easily make the mystery by just watching the video, pausing, and following the instructions as you go.

Hi, Shelley! I noticed your machine the other day. I have the Virtuosa QE 150. So I guess yours is a bit newer than mine. I think I bought mine in 1999. Maybe 2000. It’s served me well. However, one thing I need to do is replace the cutting blade. I haven’t called the service guy yet, but after 25 years of using the cutter, it sure is hard to pick up my snips! It’s always something, isn’t it! I live in Corpus Christi, Texas, and the first squall from Beryl just hit! So I’ll be doing a lot of nothing the rest of the evening, I expect!
