Nice install Steve. Even though Im fairly sure that all newer dishwashers have a check valve in the drain, I still install them with the anti siphon loop just like you do. It's a good practice. The cabinetmaker has his work cut out for him now!

Hahaha, nice! That looks like the dishwasher I helped my father install in his house last week. He's re-doing his kitchen, it's looking quite nice now! We also installed a new sink and did the plumbing for it as well.

+ElfNet Gaming i believe your right its a young couple just starting out very young .. propely had one of his young friends do it .not sure
@Elfnetdesigns8 жыл бұрын
Yeah the proper way would be to have that metal flex cable run up to the socket and the socket be at least 14" or 18" from the floor if it even possible, if not then it needs the hard wire option. Also since this is connecting a water handling appliance it should have a GFIC. The other option would be to hard wire the dishwasher to a junction box like you would a garbage disposal and have it on its own circuit with a GFIC breaker. Different states and such may have different codes related to building codes but I am going off the NEC here.. But of course if it's not broke, no need to fix it..

95% your customers don’t use strainer and let grease go into kitchen drain, they need some common sense, good for you, keeping you busy.

suggesion to all plumbers- you do this for a living and if you know there is most likely going to be leaking water under a sin, bring your own bucket or towel- don't asking the homeowner for something you should have with you. Not professional and does not promote good customer relations
