This car isn't focussed on the details any more than the three big German brands its aiming at. The difference is this car, along with all the other DS models, is that its overloaded with little gimmicky shapes, glitters and rhinestones, which in my opinion make it look childish and cheap. No one every really seemed to try anything different or interesting. Plus so many always seem to try and be sporty over everything else, BMW are particularly bad for that. Rover may have been dragged down to making little hatches that should've been Austins etc, but everytime they made a big wafty saloon it was exceptional. It's what they were good at. The British like wood and leather wrapped in a smaller more taught body and tech. Great review. Good that you put a bright spotlight on an under-illuminated car.

looks - 100% yes. dynamics - if it’s anything like ds 7, hell yes. reliability - again, if it’s like 7, total dump. had that car for a year. 20 + visits to the dealership for repairs. gearbox, engine, those fancy light systems - broke down multiple times. gearbox deserves a special place in a far far landfill

With the bonnet strip, do you mean Monsieur Breguet? If so he is just about the most famous watchmaker in history, he died in the 19th century but his watches continue and are exquisite and can be found all over the world. His name is pronounced BreGay. Excellent review of this car.
