I’ve been a (silent) subscriber for years now. Your content has fascinated and thrilled me for all this time. I love the life you have, but most importantly your family dynamics. The reason I’m commenting today is because of what Keith was talking about at. 22:00. Firstly I can’t believe that there were actual negative comments about that. So here’s what I have to say. That Jack is comfortable enough to express his feelings to the young lady he’s in a relationship with in front of his parents suggests that he has been brought up as a fine young man and is a credit to his parents. Good luck on the rest of your journeys.

Another great episode. My take on your kids has changed over the years, partially because of your channel. When I was a younger (26)father, I thought my friends who homeschooled were crazy and were going to have poorly socialized kids. Well, 26 years later, those same friends have courteous successful kids. Mine still struggle, they seem to be about 4 years behind the homeschooled kids AND I have had to "un teach" my kids so much of the public school agenda. You've done a great job. Never let anyone tell you different May your kids go on to be happy and successful adults who enjoy their lives and hopefully help change "polite society" in their images. And the fact Jack has a girlfriend on the boat reinforces the "socially normal" way your parenting style has taught. In your earlier days, I always thought "how will they meet/date" when they get older?" Whelp...just like that.

You guys are great and admire the open and respectful relationship that exists in your family. In restricted homes, without realising, the kids build a dual personality. They are one person at home with their elders and they are another person outside their home. My parents were religious in a spiritual way with an open mind. I was so comfortable being around them as a kid, teenager and later as an adult. We had an amazing friendship and did a lot of travelling together like you guys, except we did it initially in a caravan and later on in camper vans. You guys are building such amazing memories that will remain fresh in all your mental screens. I am now 70+ and those memories brings immense joy as I feel my father and mother right here with me each time. My children have always enjoyed the stories and my grandchildren will do as well as they grow up. I have watched your videos from the time you bought your cat in Greece and have shared your channel with family and friends. Every so often we have a chat about the current or a previous episode you have posted. Seeing the younger members of Zatara family grow up is like seeing our neighbour's kid growing up. Good luck to all of you and wishing you all good health and good fortune. Fair winds 🤞💕

Renee and Keith...thank you for speaking your peace about how you raised your children. I raised mine the same...not just with relationships, but with everything...with the thought that, if things go sideways ( and things always go sideways lol), I wanted to be the first person they called/talked to...not the last. That absolutely cannot happen without having very open, honest, and non-judgemental parents. The "neighborhood moms" might have thought I was crazy, but my kids shared everything with me and still do as adults. You've done it all right!

The way you have raised your kids is nothing short of success and I hope that if I end up wanting children, that I raise them with the same openness and boundaries as you have, but in my own quirky way.
