We play 4 player often,full galaxy mode using the multiplayers rules on ffg. It’s a lot of fun

I have been waiting for extra Contant for the Star Wars deck building game. Pretty excited for this. Easily my most played game. I’ve played with my kids over 150 games of this. I think the original version has an equal number of imperial, rebel, and neutral cards. I assume the new game will be similar, so perhaps you’ll be able to take two of the factions and mix the neutral cards and take half of the neutral cards so you can do rebels versus separatists or something. Being able to mesh both games would be ideal, but I’m just excited for the factions and cards. I am 99% sure it’s a “standalone expansion “.

Original game is fun. Glad to see an expansion. I bet if you have both, each player picks a faction to shuffle in. so you can play Empire vs Separatist. It would be cool if it expanded the player count too, agreed!!

I feel like I should point out that the box art preview doesn't use the word "expansion." The only way that it looks as if this could work as an expansion is in the 2v2 variant, such as Republic + Rebels vs Empire + Separatists.

Yep, I expected a CW like this was in the works. Houserule that we'll use, maybe we can customize our faction beforehand? I imagine you could trade out cards beforehand, like trading in Ahsoka for Chewbacca (both cost 4). We'll see!

I love this game, we play it all the time. I hope this is a stand-alone expansion. Half of the play it sees here is due to how fast it is to set up (no pregame deck building or setup).

@@queparkerqp I was thinking neutral card decks that can be added to your player deck. It would be cool to have different eras neutral decks. So every expansion will add new neutral cards and new leaders like Marvel Champions.

Different for sure. Standalone game, so you don’t buy boosters you just keep the one box and play. It is fun though - I’m sure you’d enjoy it.

Well, I don't see the word expansion on the box anywhere, so I'm not sure where that's coming from, but I don't think this is an expansion. I think this is a standalone taking place in the clone wars rather than the original trilogy.

On the Gen Con demo session listing they built the event as an expansion event. They called it an expansion.

Disappointed with the recycled art and the theme. I know they exist (I've seen them comment on line) but I've legit never met a person in-person who liked the children's clone wars cartoon. I've tried to watch it with my wife like 5 times now using different recommended guides, but as far as we can tell its just straight unwatchable for an adult, and I say this as a couple who recently rewatched all of the 1992 children x-men cartoon and loved it, despite my wife never having seen it before so having no nostalgia for it, so we're not opposed to children's cartoons, they just have to be good. All that said, still excited for this game to finally have an expansion in any form. Really love the star realms deck builder formula, and the original game crib's it well, while adding just enough unique elements that it feels like its own thing and not just a star wars re-skin to Star Realms (though it certainly is that as well). Only real knock was how many classic characters were missing from the base set, clearly to sell expansions, but if the expansions are well made, I'm fine with that.
