Seems odd they didn't go with a 1911 trigger given their background of being one of the biggest manufacturers of 1911s.

They wanted it to have modern controls, aka no manual safety, and modern safety mechanisms aka firing pin block, drop safety, and trigger safety. You really can't do that with the good old 1911 trigger package, at least not without redesigning the entire thing, and you end up spending resources to come up with a different thing, entirely anyway. So.. 🤷♂

I enjoy your reviews. Quite precise just facts as you see them. Thanks. My bro bought me the gen 1. Had to be sent back due to stove pipes. Took at least 2 months. Went to the wrong facility. Does not like reman ammunition. Have not had a chance to put it through its paces yet. Too cold here in Maine. It is a bear to disassemble and back. A very nicely made firearm.

I was Really excited about this design last year and then it just didn't get much traction. There were some intial videos and then not much. I think it's going to take a better trigger, less cost and somebody to take it on as their competition gun if this design is going to become popular

If this were a double/single action with a decocker or at least with a 1911 style safety, it would compete with CZ and other 1911s. Many places won't let you compete with something that doesn't have a safety.
@JustinOpinionChannel8 ай бұрын
I've never heard of a match that required a safety. That would be entirely dependent on the type of gun it is. But if so - it would be even worse than IDPA.
@jimkennedy97939 ай бұрын
Looks lime center hold would do it.
@k80clay9 ай бұрын
It's a CZ that shoots like a 2011 with the trigger of a Glock.
@JustinOpinionChannel9 ай бұрын
Not a bad mashup analogy, but I don't agree on the Glock trigger - it's way better than that. I'm being critical of it because for $2k competition shooters are going to want very light, short, crisp triggers and it's not quite there. But by no means is it like a Glock.

The E is for expensive. Admittedly, it is an interesting firearm, but unfortunately, they priced themselves out of the market. There are too many cool guns for the same or less money. 2k for a Rock Island is a hard pill to swallow for most.

@RichiesHouse9 ай бұрын
Once the cool factor wears off this is a gun that nobody will care about . Cost , parts , long term durability and any rock island lose their value immediately. 2 grand absolute waste of money . Can buy a tisas 45 , and 2 beretta 92s and ammo for that price .
@georgewashington30129 ай бұрын
This isn’t a gun people will shoot frequently. It’s a novelty gun for the occasional range session to impress buds. The consumers RIA is targeting aren’t going to care much about resale value.
