How does FSD handle a 4-way stop where drivers rely on eye contact or gestures to determine who goes next? Typically, it's the first to arrive or the one on the right when two arrive simultaneously, but drivers often signal with a wave or a headlight flash. If the other driver looks at the FSD car expecting some acknowledgment and gets none, wouldn’t that create confusion? It seems like a situation where the driver would need to take over.
@CanadaFSD12 күн бұрын
@@positivityplace yeah anything involving hand gestures/etc seems to be a struggle for FSD at the moment, I’m sure they’ll solve that eventually. If those situations happens I’ll just intervene with a pedal press usually.

This is mostly easy highway driving, in broad daylight. Try driving in a busy big city during morning rush hour. Or at night, or in the rain. Remember, FSD is still just a Level 2 assistant.

@@DerekDavis213 watch my most recent video, or my other video where I drive around downtown Vancouver. People that try and discredit FSD today are quickly becoming a smaller and smaller group of people. People are waking up and realizing how good FSD really is.

@@CanadaFSD _People are waking up and realizing how good FSD really is._ Ha! I just watched another FSD V13 review on KZbin, and the buggy software could not read a ROAD CLOSED sign. That is just inexcusable at this stage of the game.

@ FSD cannot read yet, so there’s no reason at all to expect it to handle that properly. FSD is not a robotaxi yet, but it’s incredibly impressive and can handle basically 99% of my driving with zero human input. There’s no other consumer vehicle on earth that can do that.
@DerekDavis2137 күн бұрын
@@CanadaFSD 99% percent of your driving? Does that mean just 1 serious mistake on every 100 car trips? Other FSD reviewers are NOT getting that kind of performance. And by the way, a human can drive every day for years without an accident or incident.

I'm hoping that Tesla sees the value in licensing this technology to other car manufacturers. They did get their charging system to be the standard, and if this same system can be used in more vehicles, the better it will become. Musk has never struck me as a selfish person but as an altruistic one. Making this available to every manufacturer (for a fee of course) would be best for the group and probably even for Tesla itself which would retain the rights.
@DerekDavis2137 күн бұрын
No other manufacturers will license 'Supervised Driving' . Elon promised Self Driving, and that was 8 years ago. If the car cannot drive for hours without any human intervention, then FSD is going nowhere.

Why do you comment on the FSD driving at the speed limit @ 4:16? I know that a lot of people drive faster than the limit because they know they won't get speeding tickets until a certain threshold, but the FSD is correctly following traffic rules here. If you can fail your driving exam by speeding, why should an autonomous driving system be allowed to speed?
@11myRSvidz1111 күн бұрын
Exactly... if drivers are annoyed then overtake.
@CanadaFSD10 күн бұрын
Because nobody exactly the speed limit. You can sit on a high horse and tell me that you never speed, but the reality is to fit into traffic you should be going 5-10km faster than the speed limit. The car generally does do that, so when it goes exactly the speed limit it’s a bit odd.
@finch40410 күн бұрын
@@CanadaFSD I wonder if it would behave differently here in Belgium then since going 6km/h over the limit for speeds under 100kmh/h and 6% above that threshold will get you speeding tickets. In my experience the majority of people often drive even under speed limits here, expect on the highway.
