Hello Blackbox. First of all, thank you for your so many very informative videos. I'm a big fan. A question specifically about the de-icing video. In the video you are in EDDM. I tried to do this with the EDDM scenery from Simwings in conjunction with the GSX. Unfortunately, as you can see in this video, I don't have a board in the de-icing area. Are you using an additional mod or do you have to set something in MSFS or in the GSX addon? Thank you in advance for your answer and wish you a nice Christmas time.

Hi. Thank you 🙏.. do you have the Simwings GSX Profile installed? flightsim.to/file/38557/sim-wings-eddm-gsx-profile

Could you do a video on step climbing? I understand what it is but either in stupid and don't put them in correctly or my simbrief calculates them wrong
@Blackbox711 Жыл бұрын
Hi. Simbrief is not really suitable for calculating step climbs because of lacking deeper levels of performance data. And most A320 addons lack the ability to use the step climb function in the MCDU. There is a simple rule that you can use: when the next available flightlevel (usually 2000 ft higher from the current one) reaches optimum altitude +500 ft, then climb. I.e. current flightlevel 340, optimum 355, then climb FL360.

Hi. Thank you very much. At the moment I use the rudder pedals for nosegear stearing.

@@Blackbox711 for what im reading and studying on-line: MFG crossiwind V3 for airbus and Thrustmaster TPR pendular rudder for Boeing aircrafts. From the reviews im watching the thrustmaster is made with the design of boeing in mind. can you confirm?

I had no de-icing option when I opened the GSX menu while taxiing at EDDB.

@@Blackbox711 Ok, but you would do de-icing in real life at 5°C in the rain wouldn't you?

@@Deyan_B_Travels not if you don’t have ice or snow on the wings. You would switch on Engine-Anti Ice, but that is it.

How long does it take to de-ice and anti-ice in real life ?
@Blackbox711 Жыл бұрын
Hi. Depends on the airport and the competency of the deicers. And then ifnit is a one-step or two-step procedure. And which parts need to be deiced. Usually it won’t take longer than 15 minutes.
