New Haven mayor reacts to Randy Cox case settlement

A joint settlement of $45 million was reached in the civil case of Richard Cox v. City of New Haven on Friday in a New Haven courtroom.
Of the $45 million, $30 million of the total settlement will be covered by the City’s insurance, and the remainder will be paid by the City.
This settlement stems from an incident in June of 2022 where Randy Cox was left paralyzed while being held in police custody in the back of a police van.

It's so very much worse than what you've depicted here. They usually don't get any punishment whatsoever. In fact, they're often promoted. If they do get punishment, it's a few days off, oftentimes with pay. Sometimes they get demoted. They are often fired yet either rehired or rehired down the road. And then they let some of them retire with all their benefits. These sick, demented Satanist deserve what comes to them for doing this evil to mankind. They should be forced to wear jumpsuits with words of disdain and a target on them. They should be paraded through the streets with chains on them for ruining Randy Cox' life. They should be stripped of all of their riches, belongings, freedoms. What they did to Randy Cox is tantamount to murder.

At the point of the injury had he been immediately been treated humanely and they sought medical care I wouldn't think they were disgusting human human beings. But, they instead choose the low moral ground and at that point, their decisions are nothing but monstrous...
