Thank you so much for making this, I don't think I've actually ever seen anyone react to ALL of the songs at once before! Honestly, it's a little crazy to see these tracks laid out going back all those years. While my very earliest attempts are different from the final shows because the sources of info they were based on were later retconned (or details/events progressed from when these songs were created), I'm still proud that the majority what I've written for the Hellaverse still can be accurate to what we got. Paranoid dj's lyrics in the original version of, "Look My Way" are actually pretty different in some parts. For example, Stolas originally says, "Come now, my impish plaything, we both made this choice." Instead of "But my dearest, I know better now, I must give you this choice." I'm so glad they changed this line, and a couple others, to reflect Stolas' character development.

Yeah, it was based on the official in-character Instagram accounts that used to exist before the show got picked up by Amazon. _That_ version of Val used to be even _worse_ than what we got, if you can believe it? Having both Vox as an additional victim of his outbursts, committing animal cruelty, and more. It got so bad that his account actually got suspended despite being fictional.

I think the relationship is going to be revealed to be more abusive in the canon. Firstly, because I don’t think Val knows how to be in any other kind of relationship. And secondly, Vix seemed to really used to Val throwing objects and tantrums at him.

Few notes based on your comments, the Vees show up early in the pilot, along with most of the other known overlords at various points. There's also a text convo between val and angel Later on there's a family portrait in the hotel, with charlie and her parents. Alastor stares at it for a bit. Yes, people had a pretty good idea early on that something really bad happened to Fizz, and there was a good bit of speculation that Blitz had something to do with it. We already knew that white marks on an imp typically meant scars. Fizz's white face might have just been makeup, but pair that with missing horns (flopping hat gave that away) and cybernetic limbs... From what I understand, the eggbois are constructs, inanimate objects given life through magic. Other constructs in the series include KeeKee, Razzle, and Dazzle. The latter two were animated by Lucifer using two of Charlie's favorite plushies.

I really think the end of Husks song does an amazing job of encompassing the pure amount of sympathy he has towards others. Even after all he’s been through, above all, he takes the time to acknowledge the pain of those who can relate. Like he does towards Angel, in S1. It shows that despite his claims of no longer being able to love, he truly is full of compassion.

I think Vox is the most sympathetic out of the Vees. I like Velvette but she is more cruel than Vox. It is interesting to see evil Lucifer but I think it was a good move to change him, it is refreshing to see such a different take on Lucifer. I have not seen a goofy Lucifer who loves ducks before Hazbin.

Change the Order - Pretty sure the "father" is god. The order he's changing is the divine order. The brothers are the other angels. (Satan, per lore, is just the sin of Wrath, and the sins are (probably) other fallen angels who followed Lucifer.) Use Me Up: I believe this is referencing a web comic short that predates the show (and maybe the pilot? I'm not sure about the timing) It covers the night that Charlie and Vaggie first met Angel and invited him to the hotel. Signals: It's Verosika's sneers that stole my poor little gay heart. I know that you have already gotten info about this, but in universe Lucifer and Satan are two different characters. Lucifer being the Ruler and Sin of Pride, while Satan is the Ruler and Sin of Wrath. I'm not sure if Satan is a Hellborn Sin or not, but Lucifer is definitely the son of God, along with most of the other Sins who were confirmed to be Fallen like him(ie: Bee, Azmodius,)

There's a parody of "We Don't Talk About Bruno" that's about Valentino, and there are two other Lucifer songs I like - "Pits n' Giggles and one other by the same artist that I'm not remembering -, and SO many Alastor songs. But Paranoid DJ has SO many of them, I'm not surprised. It's great that you found time to react to the Paranoid DJ songs, though. Lucifer isn't/wasn't Satan's child. I think Stolas wasn’t ashamed of Blitz he was just reeling from Asmodeus hurting him. Also Blitz did spend the whole time ignoring Stolas and only cared about spying on Millie and Moxxie before Moxxie’s performance. He was just using Stolas to get in the club. So it feels hypocritical of Blitz to be upset when he had just been using Stolas and ignoring him.

I'm super excited you reviewed PARANOiD DJ's songs! I really enjoy how much he varies the style for some of the songs. I assume you've seen it, but if not, there is a fun animatic for 'Smile Like You Mean It', . I really loved My Machine by Sir Pentious since it is still a good fit even though he's calmer/nicer? in the season of Hazbin Hotel. He is still very silly for parts of the song. I would think it fits as the season doesn't have too much opportunity for him to fight other people, when he would be more aggressive. And that he'd be inclined to do so if they faced a threat that couldn't be quickly squashed by Alastor.

The lore you're missing here with Lucifer and the Father he referencing is literally God. His brothers are the other archangels. This interpretation of Lucifer actually rebelled intentionally and it was God specifically that cast him into Hell. His contempt for the Exorcists is that they still follow God's orders as His loyal soldiers while Lucifer is independent.

UGGGGGGGH THE RINGLEADERRRRRRR like i’m biased but whatever it’s fine-Paranoid DJ is a fucking demon, there was NO REASON for a song posted MONTHS before Oops! and the Mid Season Special that just hits harder and harder every time. I place it sometime between leaving Ozzie’s and going to pick up Loona. This is the moment of catharsis Fizz has been *waiting* for, and he knows exactly where to fucking aim to kill. For being one of the VERY FEW on team not a violent bone in my body alongside Stolas and Colin that was one of the most brutal fucking executions in the entire show and it’s not even canon. I love Blitzø too just. Yknow. He earned some of that shit. But the amount of pure venom and hate in ‘so call me overrated, and keep that whiny tone; it don’t matter what you do, you’ll still die alone’ is absolutely insane. All the songs are masterpieces. All of them. But let me tell you something; I would do some truly heinous war crimes for a full version of this recorded by Brandon, Alex, and James. 😭 Truly. This was an awesome video Weeby!!! I totally agree with the read about Striker being kinda sadistic about his work. Everyone jumps to him not liking getting hit on during jobs as him being asexual, but my reading of him is he's sadistic in and out of his job, but they're VERY different headspaces for him so he's like "ew wtf no stop that I'm trying to enjoy this don't make me think of you like an ACTUAL person what's wrong with you", maybe unless he distinctly categorizes someone as one or the other. Like the only people we see him react that way with were Moxxie, who he met under false pretenses and went out of his way to antagonize to the detriment of his job for some reason, and Striker said something very suggestive implying he got some pleasure out of their antagonism, and Fizz, who Striker doesn't know beyond hating him for willingly being a royal's "pet" and probably seeing him as a class/race traitor who he JUST said he was going to kill for the sheer pleasure. It's wouldn't be at all surprising if his brain is like "Wait, that's possible, ABORT MURDER PROTOCOL, someone ask the lower brain if we're dating this person ASAP!!" Meanwhile, he has no problem seducing Blitz even implying he wasn't fully bluffing about it or Blitz reading the shit he says as sexual even once they're enemies, and he doesn't seem to care when Stolas is playing unimpressed masochist rather actively chasing a better reaction from him to get enjoyment out of it.

I don’t know if you'll read this, Weeby, but I would recommend you react to the character covers as well as the original version of "Just Look My Way." Regarding the former, DJ has actually changed certain lyrics to fit the characters singing the songs and they're pretty interesting to listen to and connect, and with the latter, the lyrics of JLMW in the official music video were updated to show Stolas' character development throughout the series. (The original lyrics contained him referring to Blitzø as a plaything and mentioned his concern for Octavia) I'd also suggest you watch this comic dubs if you want to see more from this channel. Two of his dubs are of prequel comics created by the show staff. (One of them was mentioned at the beginning of "Use Me Up," titled Dirty Healings)
