It's too bad you can't add a photo. I made them but based on a few commemts I altered a few things. I used the swerve brown sugar in the batter. 2 tablespoons. I didnt have sourcream so used cream cheese. On the top of each biscuit I added the swerve brown sugar (about a teaspoon spread between the 6 muffins) and then the cold butter. The top came out with hardened sugar butter coating which is delicious. Side note is that I don't do well with corn and have really missed corn bread. I dont know why but they came out like corn bread. I filled 6 paper muffin holders so they were high rather than wide. All and all very nice flavor and did make me feel like I was eating somewhere between a biscuit and a muffin.

How long did you bake the mini loaf for?
@emmanuelking9988 Жыл бұрын
@@marielwadleigh7072 In the video, she mentioned she baked the biscuits for about 12 minutes at 400 or so degrees...so, I recalculated that to work around my oven which gets very, very hot at less temperature. So, I baked my bread at 345 degrees for about 18-25 minutes and started to check on it after 18 minutes; when I saw it brown on top I put a butter knife through it to see if it baked throughout. So, it depends on how hot your oven/convection oven gets and the pan you use. I used a stainless steel mini square bread baking pan, I got off Amazon. Hope that helped.

LOL, I LOVE that your family is all standing around being very serious and responsible about this. So cute. "Dad", with his dad nod convinced me to try this recipe, so as soon as I get to the store to get some more heavy cream, I'll try it. I have used lupin flour for other simple doughs, but have been looking for a biscuit recipe. I experimented with what I had tonight before I found your recipe and made a truly hideous concoction. Texture was perfect biscuit texture, but the flavor came out very bitter! I can see that the cream, eggs, and sour cream in this recipe would likely counter that bitterness. Will be trying it your way soon! Thanks!

I've been using Lupina for several years. Love it, but there aren't very many recipes out there. There are some brands of Lupin that are bitter. Check the label, make sure it's made from sweet white lupin. Lupina is never bitter. I use it to make oven fried chicken. Dredge the chicken in Lupina, with whatever seasonings you like, place in a lightly oiled baking dish. Bake at 350°f about an hour. Take it out, turn the pieces, bake another 30-45 minutes. It tastes just like it would if you used wheat flour. You can pan fry with it, too, I just like to use the oven so I don't have to stand over it.
