NEW KTM CUO UNIT FINALLY!!

going over the new connectivity unit by KTM for the 24.5 and 2025 upcoming models.
I made a mistake in the video by saying the whole kit was $160 it is actually a little over $200 including the fender and GPS unit just the cuo unit is 189.99

I put the original KTM connectivity unit on my 2021 KTM 350 and had all the same features except the quick shifter.

Precision was way worse and also it doesn’t support any newer bikes also the hardware and bluetooth on it are not nice. But if you mean by engine tuning for the end user it might seem like that as the mobile guys are quite some time behind.

Yep we recently was added to the backend. Btw. the CUO can simply start without giving the quick ignition just press the button on the unit and it will turn on. Wait for something bigger i guess settings wise there will be options for the limit 😊 You can always get the GNSS later it’s also not as expensive as it’s basically a thing we expect to break more often.

I do have a question. I just got a new 24 Ktm 350xcf. I only ride trail so not sure if it's worth it. My question is is ktm app free? Or do you still need to pay the $250. If I do get it does it show overall mileage? Or is it just let ride

I've had it for a few weeks now. I hope at some point they will upgrade litpro rider feature. It's only good for MX tracks. Can't seem to get it to work for a very long single track loop.

Yes it's very simple 1 to 5 selections the Yamaha app is confusing you have ignition fuel + - I don't know why they have to make it over complicated. this is a much more refined unit that a 3-year-old could use lol

Yeah there is a reason for this we really got behind this product and it’s not outsourced anymore so fully in-house. I hope this spirit is reflected in the product and yes there are still many things that don’t work as well as i’d and the team behind it would like to have it working. There will be the first ever OTA of any unit KTM ever sold.

Im having trouble connecting my CUO... When i tap sync it tries to find my bike then it says [ we couldn't read out the vin from your motorcycle. Please contact your dealer. Error code : 15010 ] Did this happen to you to? Smh

Can you change/save map 1 and 2? Previous gen CUO you could only change map 1, map 2 was always factory aggressive.

Sadly this limitation is a ECU one as such not for this generation but there will be a future one with many more maps and options. The old ECU’s will get replaced at some point in time.

Does your unit turn off with the bike? If so, how long does it take to turn off? I can't get mine to turn off without unplugging it...

@@Moto619films more than 10 minutes? My map switch (on the clutch side) turns off almost right away, but this one stays on. Got worried it was draining my battery so I unplugged it. How long does yours take to shut off?

I had to crank my bike to see the map switch turns off after a minute or so the connectivity unit takes a bit longer maybe 5 minutes or so but I've never had an issue I wouldn't look too far into it it's totally fine I've been using mine for a few months now

The CUO turns off exactly after 120 seconds but if you connect with the phone this is prolonged

on mine 450 when I put engine braking on 1 it doesn't load the map

Sounds like a MY23 sadly that means up to the dealer..

Can a person set up the bike the way they want and then take the CUO unit off the bike (and keep the settings)?

I just got my CUO so will be trying it shortly. Once I have the bike set up the way I want it, I don’t want extra wires and crap on the bike… will see what happens 😬

@@ve6wo right on. Im debating the cuo or a reflash of the black box. Does turning the engine break down do much? Does it run the hour meter up or drain the battery much? Anything knowledge to add since youve been using it? I might be interested in buying it off you if it holds the maps on your bike for you and will be resetable to my bike(23 350xcf) lmk man thanks
