HAHAHA "I don't mind that stuff is breaking around me" Splitsie, the millisecond after you said that Pipes and unit go BOOM, Right in front of you as if you gave it permission to explode. THAT was 1 of the best moments i have seen by far.

Those new Larre options do open up possibilities. Imagine a chute network allowing you to deposit bottles in various parts of the base. At the chutes' exit there is a Larre that puts the bottles in an emptier and then into a filler before dropping them off in a bottle storage. Now imagine building and programming it. And speaking of automated manufacturing, imagine a Larre keeping one or more manufacturing machines stocked with metals etc.

8:34 @Splitsie, this is the kind of moment that brings me back to my original hypothesis; your acting skills are equal to or greater than your inherent luck. 😂 I believe you when you say these moments are unscripted. I also believe that God finds this sort of thing as hilarious as the rest of us. Never change, brother. You are the undisputed king of "oh, crap! How did that happen?'"

I was so nervous that you had set to pressurise that canister, and then walked away.. But then you started putting the walls up and I was like.. OH, I thought he turned the filter on, I guess I was wrong... And then BOOM... Nope, I was right, and I was correct is having my nervousness..

A (probable) explanation for how you managed to supercool your water and thus wreck your CO2 coolant pipe: You already identified correctly that it was the setting of the evaporation chambers, and here's why: the game uses the Armstrong limit of 6.3 kPa as the cutoff for the transition from liquid to solid. No liquid ever has less than 6.3 kPA of vapour pressure, period. Therefore, if your evaporation chamber is set to maintain 6 kPA or less, the liquid in it will continue to evaporate _regardless_ of temperature! And since evaporation costs energy, it will continue to cool down. As long as it doesn't freeze, it will go all the way towards zero Kelvin. So why did the water not freeze? ...Beats me, honestly. The pipes were probably safe because the loop had so little water in it that the evaporation chamber managed to ingest it all, so the pipes never had enough water in them to form an ice ball. And the phase change devices are one of the few devices in the game totally immune to damage by freezing. I would still have expected the system to lock up just below 0°C, and for some reason it did not... yeah. No clue! :) Moral of the story: never set an evaporation chamber to less than 7 kPa.

Use a pressure regulator to fill tanks rather than a volume pump. Slower, but safer. Or use logic or an IC to turn off the pump when the tank gets to the target pressure.
@travispluid360313 күн бұрын
If you notice, he doesn't use a Volume Pump. He uses a Filtration Unit.

When you have a canister connected directly to the output of a unregulated filter it was bound to go boom!!. next time filter to a big tank and set it to auto turn on the filter when PSI is under a set amount then use a presure regulator to fill a canister filler. a chip in the filter can see the psi of the output line. safty is simple but often ignored. I'm amazed that didn't blow up on you sooner. I have been thinking that was going to blow for months.

Hard to see but it looked like it broke because your co2 got cold enough to condense. I guess the ac at one point needed to heat something and it cooled the co2 enough to break it. I dont get how the devs made it choose a random pipe in the network to sustain the damage and break. Thats just really weird how you keep somehow having the acs break your things like that.

you should have a service loop for larre, and a maintenance loop, basically cut the full loop short of stations 1 and 20 for service and 20-1 being the maintenance loop section so you could then have multiple larre's running the service loop and they only move to the maintenance loop to empty and refill hoppers with a check at station 19. N/M i commented before watching the full process you created for larre, i see you fully automated the process around the single loop design.

Speaking of those Dad moments, my first son got me that way, sitting on my shoulders looking over my head. In public, on a 4 hour ferry transfer 😅 delightful, realy. Btw, though I rarely comment, I'm really enjoying your content, especially your tone, attitude and overal format (kinda zen-like, in all good ways, compared to what said son likes to watch nowadays)

why not put a pressure regulator at 18Mpa on the inlet to the triple pipe going to the bottles and set the pressure on the IC in the filter to be near max pipe pressure will result in not blowing up bottles and a result in a quicker filling of the bottles? Also lmao at the timing of that explosion was just perfect!
@dacoz2 ай бұрын
only at 2h18m so i'm not sure if you solved this yet because sometimes you will be waiting for the plants to grow, there will be times when you skip the harvesting actions and therefore don't want to plant. so after the harvesting branch jump, I would do a branch jump for planting, that way it doesn't try to plant where you already have a (not fully grown) plant.

Something I've learned as of recent is that you should include comments in your IC code to make it much easier on the human to figure out what the code is doing. IE: //loop end, //tells the IC what the alies of the device connects to XYZ in the code. Stuff like these comments are fantastic for debugging
