In Florida, interfering with police is a crime called obstructing justice, which is defined in Chapter 843 of the Florida Statutes. There are many types of actions that can constitute obstructing justice, including: Resisting an officer: This can be done with or without violence. Resisting without violence includes lying to the officer, running away, or not allowing the officer to handcuff you. Resisting with violence is more serious and includes threatening or committing violence. False personation: This is a type of obstructing justice. Fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer: This is a type of obstructing justice. Depriving an officer of means of protection or communication: This is a type of obstructing justice. An obstruction of justice charge can be filed at the same time as another criminal charge, which can increase the penalties.

Read the wording of the '25ft law'. It doesn't say people must stand back 25 feet or that police can demand or require anyone to stand back 25 feet. It says someone may not remain within 25 feet of an emergency responder with the intent to harass, interfere etc after the responder requests them to stay 25' back. There has to be intent, and the harassment or interference must be real; not just a person's presence alone. It's already against the law to harass, intimidate or interfere, so this law does nothing but offer emergency responders an opportunity to misapply it in hopes that nobody actually reads it and just believes it means that nobody can be within the 25 foot distance; it doesn't say that at all.

It will be used as a contempt of cop charge, even knowing 99% will be dropped by the DA. Far to vague. The law will get challenged and dropped.

THEY ARE NOT "LAWS" THEY ARE CODES...A LAW IS IMMUTABLE...CODES HAVE REMEDY...There are no judges in the United States... There are no Judicial courts in America and there has not been since 1789. Judges do not enforce Statutes and Codes. Executive Administrators enforce Statutes and Codes. (FRC v. GE 281 US 464, Keller v. PE 261 US 428, 1 Stat. 138-178)
