Im a medical marijuana patient in Missouri. Im just happy that i can get the medication that works for me without catching a felony! Im still taking a few of the meds that the dr has had me on for years, but so far im totally gotten off the amitriptyline, cut WAY back on my xanax consumption, and have been able to reduce the about of pain meds that i have been prescribed for years. Im very grateful.

If i'm understanding this correctly, basically as long as you aren't driving under the influence, you don't have more than 2 oz, and you follow traffic laws, you will just be fine?

New Mexico has chosen to decriminalize some uses of marijuana. You would not be violating New Mexico law if you were transporting less than 2oz for personal use. Marijuana is still illegal under federal law however.

@@tacticalattorneyhemp is legal under 0.3%thc Thca is the precursor and is 100% legal in federal law. In Texas we have medical grade hemp that is as potent as the worlds strongest on the shelf legally as long as it is only 0.3% delta 9 thc. Since it’s actually possible to grow cannabis under those conditions to have 35% Thca on 0.2%Thca at testing then it’s all federally and state legal and it’s pretty much the exact same stuff, no laws on age, amounts, anything as long as its less than 0.3% thc. So as long as it was grown out of state and mailed or grown in state and within the limits it’s all legal. Marijuana vs hemp is now a legal gray area guys like you can use for revenue. Hemp=federally legal marijuana=federally illegal….. You can legally ship medical grade but to most states legally using the post office of any amount…. Sad to say it’s all changing and the farmbill is the main driver of it. Just focus on kids getting high and people dumping chemicals when growing. Otherwise get a life 65% of the population has spoken and you’re just trying to control people and get paid to do it…..

Can’t wait to move to Albuquerque, NM! Folks I met have been friendly and down-to-earth. I work in the tech industry, high-volume manufacturing - and marijuana has helped with my sleeping issues ever since I began working graveyard hours (7pm-7:30am) Learning that NM has legalized recreational marijuana use is a great thing 👍

With this being a new law, there are still a lot of bugs to work out. It is likely we will get more guidance from the courts or amendments from the legislature in due time.

If you read HB2 it states "a person shall not possess more than 2oz outside the consumers private residence"... "any cannabis in excess shall be stored in the persons residence and shall not be visible from a public place" so what I understand you're allowed as much as you want in your private residence

Yes sir, medical marijuana cards and laws still apply. As far as I know, the medical marijuana laws don't conflict with the recreational laws. You are still limited to the number of plants, amount etc.

No. Marijuana is still a schedule I drug under federal law. Pursuant to federal law, 922G, illegal drug users can not possess a firearm. This will continue to be a hot topic as legalized Marijuana continues to sweep the country.

No. Carrying weed across state lines is considered trafficking under federal law. Flying to Mexico means that you're breaking international & Mexican federal laws in regard to international drug trafficking.

I moved to New Mexico one year ago . I have a Cannabis medical card from California. I have tried to use my card reciprocal . That program stoped . I live close to Gallup . I called and was told I must go to Albuquerque in peryou help. Disabled and going to Albuquerque is a hard thing to do.I don't have money to pay the recreational prices.I have been suffering because of this . Can youhelp.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. New Mexico can be tough in the rural areas. Albuquerque and Santa Fe often times forgets we are here. I do not practice law and can't give legal advice I only do training. I would recommend you reach out to your local legal aid office. They may be able to help. You could also try calling the department of health to see what they can do. If you find that you need an attorney, I recommend you reach out to the NM State Bar. Best of luck to you.

All adults 18+ should be free to responsibly smoke, gamble, drink, conceal & carry. Law enforcement needs to focus on REAL crimes, such as vandals, rapists, murders, frauditors, SovCits driving without liscense, DUI/DWI and of course robbery. 18 is the age of majority in 47 states & DC, 19 in Nebraska & Alabama and only 1 state has an age of majority/adulthood at 21, Mississippi. Cops need to leave adults under 21 alone! If cops want to keep their lives, salaries and benefits, let the state make money via legalized and taxed marijuana. Leave the consumers alone unless their committing a real crime. The best practices for law enforcement is to leave ALL users alone, especially adults 18+, let the state make money. Now that marijuana is becoming more and more legal, American citizens especially 2nd Amendment do gooders wont tolerate violations of their Civil Liberties to use, grow, possess marijuana. Those of us who support law enforcement, will cease supporting law enforcement when LEOs engage in the enforcement of unconstitutional laws & victimless "crimes".
