I priced both, the EcoBoost Premium with every available option was about a grand less than a premium GT, but if you add the same options on the GT, it's 15K more, for that 15K I can add all the performance toys I want, at 58K do you but the GT? Or do you go for a Mach1? If you want to boost the GT it's 8K give or take for just the parts. With labor probably would bump it to 10-12K or more, and that's without the big brake kit and tires & rims which are included in my 15K. Plus not many people have the HPP, everyone and their brother has the GT, uniqueness to me is a plus too.

I have the choice to choose the GT or the Ecoboost right now. I have driven the Shelby Gt500 many times and I would definitely be disappointed constantly comparing the GTs for sure. That is one of the main reasons on passing on the GT. The shifting he is talking about is because it's brand new an not broken in. The order for the manual with the ecoboost high performance has been made for me . It's always your choice at the end of the day and always take all the reviews with a grain of salt. The 2.3 has had hate since decades ago, but, today, the hate is against a highly tuned updated machine that is absolutely amazing. Technology has gotten us to where we have a Tesla outperforming everything gas everything out there. You are the one at the end of the day that needs to be satisfied with your choice. No one else.

This is just what I was looking for, the Mustang Ecoboost High Performance Package with the Handling Package in a 6-speed manual. Thank you. I don't know why I missed out on this EcoBoost with HPP when it first came out. I guess it was really due to V8 bias but honestly, the more I learn about this Mustang EcoBoost with the HPP the more impressed I am especially with that handling package and the fact Ford offers this in a 6 speed manual is the icing on the cake. I enjoy driving and not constant visits to the pump so this Mustang with 330+ horsepower, RWD, 6-speed manual, active exhaust and great MPGs is really getting my attention. Well done with the video and again thanks!

Depends on where you live!!! Got my 2.3L 2.5 years ago at 39.500€, the V8 would only be 7000@ more, so that wasn't the problem (but taxes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) To get a Mustang on the road, (taxes in Belgium): 2.3L: 3.200€ + 600€ (after that 600€ every year) V8: 12.000€ + 3300€ (after that 3300€ every year) That's just insane IMO

Just picked up my new Mustang EcoBoost. The only four cylinder version we get in Australia is the “High Performance” version with lots of extras. This is the one we chose. I make a damn good wage and can easily have afforded a V8 version, but I didn’t want one…I test drove a V8 one, and then drove a four cylinder HP one. Was the V8 “better”? Not ten to fifteen grand “better”. Anyway, we deliberately wanted a 2.3 HP one, six speed manual, in Yellow Peel. I particularly liked the active exhaust, digital dash, all the handling and bigger brakes stuff, and just the way it handled and drove. We love it.

Serious question, I see all these car reviews on this car cause I’m getting on in 2 months but does anyone take the time and miles to break these cars in? All I see is wot all the way to damn near redline and the car has like 150 miles on it. Does it make a difference anymore? I’ve just always been taught drive easy and not too fast for 500-1000 miles change the oil and then you’re good to go

I just bought the 2021 Ford Mustang EcoBoost HPP with the handling package in the 6 speed manual. My disclaimer is that I have driven BMW, Audi, Porsche, Merc, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota and many other manual transmissions and this is pretty good. I can't wait to take this car on the track and see how it handles because on the road it kills it.
@demonsaint12962 жыл бұрын
ah yea! beats everything because you have one. my disclaimer is i have driven many of the brands you have AND a 2021 Mustang EcoBoost "HPP". The day I had driven the Mustang it was on a local track. By the end of the day the Mustang took a ride home on a wrecker because the driver was trying to keep up with a underpowered cute little Miata. lemme guess, your an expert driver too. lol
@cadmando182 жыл бұрын
@@demonsaint1296 So you crashed the Mustang trying to keep up with a Miata? Sounds like you need driving lessons. I personally wouldn't want to instruct you. You seem like someone who thinks they know how to drive but really doesn't, and won't listen to instruction. You seem like someone who would insist you be put in the advanced group only to slow everyone in that group down and then complain about your tires, fuel, or any other excuse as to why you couldn't drive. This is all based on your comment above being quite stupid.

@@cadmando18”I had driven” and “the driver” are two people. No I didn’t wreck the mustang and I wasn’t driving the Miata. What I drive is a decent automobile and don’t need to boast and I am by no means an “expert” driver. I can admit that. You, however, have a “high performance package” mustang right? I have a 2016 Eco Boost. I always likened it to the old early 60's "K" code 289 performance option for the Mustang. As far as the few additional HP over my earlier version from this one, nothing that a re-flash (which likely is what Ford did) wouldn't cure. These 2.3's have a ton of potential and were over engineered so they can handle that re-flash too.

This car has the exact same trans as the Roush car you drove recently. I don’t remember your trans comments about the roush. They can be hit or miss though. I will say once warmed up the shifting is improved. The trans oil needs a bit more heat. The MT82 has a reputation for being fragile but so far the one in my 17 GT is holding up well and mine makes 611 Rear Wheel HP.

Nice review but if you’re comparing the mt82 to a Tremec you will always be disappointed but it isn’t that bad, you made it seem like it was horrible. There are minor upgrades to the transmission bushings that help a lot and if it’s new it does need some braking in also. Sounds good for a 4 cylinder turbo and is definitely fast enough and with a handling pack I’m sure can carve some back roads up. They should have came in cheaper with the package and a lot of people would have bought these and if they would have just gave it the 350 hp the RS had instead of de- tuning it I think more people would have jumped on board also. I just don’t get Ford sometimes.
