These are amazing ideas! I've also made a few myself a while ago: Void Contract: Whenever an enemy is consumes their item, the Void Contract is consumed nullifying the effects of the item used by the enemy Four Leafed Clover: Whenever the user attacks on their fourth turn, the item is consumed and makes the attack 30% more stronger Plastic Wrap: The user is protected from electric type attacks. If the user is hit with a fire type attack, the item is destroyed Speeding Ticket: If the user is hit with a priority move, the attacker has their speed stat harshly lowered Mirror Sheet: Whenever the user is hit with a status move, it reflects it back at the enemy Multivitamin: The first turn the user is sent out it consumes this item that increases its 5 stats but forces it not to move on the first turn Room Renovator: Whenever the user uses a Room move, its duration is extended to 8 turns rather than five Hyper Mirror: Whenever the user is switched into battle with an enemy holding an item, the user’s Hyper Mirror transforms into the enemy’s item. Metal Detector: Raises evasiveness when hit by a Steel type attack or when a Steel type is sent out in battle Rocket Fist: Whenever a punching move is used, it always goes first then is consumed Escape Hatch: Whenever a room move is used, the user swapped out of battle Rearview Mirror: When the user switches out of battle, it transforms into the Pokemon adjacent to it (If you switched the user back in, it would stay transformed)

The Never Stone is a really good idea. One reason these mons with useless abilities have these nerfs is because if their great stats were paired with a good item, they'd be too strong: eg. Slaking without Truant, and a Choice Item or Life Orb. The Never Stone would allow these mons to be more useful, at the cost of a held item with an effect.

I always thought it was rather odd that Fairy type Pokemon never had a held item to call their own. Apart from the Pixie Plate, but if Normal types can get their own plate, (Sort of...) then I don't see why not.

I think a few fan games repurpose the Polka Dot Bow for that very purpose, but yeah. It'd be nice just have one officially that's not a plate. Fairy also got excluded from Hidden Power as a late-comer.

heheh maybe? Ubermons are sitting at 600-700 base stat totals. Based on my equation (530-Current BST) / 5 = how much to add for non HP stats: It'd have HP: 65 ATK : 95 + 18 = 113 DEF: 85 + 18 = 103 SPA: 55 + 18 = 73 SPD: 55+ 18 = 73 SPE: 85 + 18 = 103 It's basically slower but sturdier Barraskewda

An item concept I have long wanted to see implemented would be something that causes the holder's physical and special stats to switch. It'd be great for the many Pokemon who have access to a variety of great special moves yet can't otherwise benefit from them due to being physical attackers (i.e. Weavile, Snorlax, Rhyperior, etc.). This would completely change what kind of battle strategies one could expect from whatever opponent they face.

The Game Machine (1, 2), The Advance Machine (3), The Dual Machine (4, 5), The 3D Machine (6, 7), and The NX Machine (8, 9). Boosts the STAB to 150% instead of 50% to Pokémon paired with the correct machine, but also weakens non-stab moves by 50%. I feel like the connects between the machines and what pokemon they could work on are obvious lmao

Really cool ideas! I came out with this... -Raid Vest: like assault vest, but it boosts defense. -Performance Policy: If the holder has his stats dropped by an enemy, its atk and sp.atk are raised by 2 and the item gets consumed (basically single use defiant/competitive) -scary mask: when the holder enters a battle, the enemy's atk stat is dropped by one and the item gets consumed (basically single use intimidate) -kneepad: prefents the holder from taking damage from kick-based moves recoil (including high jump kick when it misses) -a series of "crystal" items counterpart of "gem" items that turn the fist normal type move used by the holder into the type of the crystal and gives it 20% boost and gest consumed afterwards -speeding fine: if the holder is hit by an high priority damaging move, it switches out the attacker (unlike the red card, the item doesn't get consumed) -brute orb: removes any additional effects from the Pokémon's moves, but increases the moves' power by 20% (for reference the sheer force ability boosts by 30%). -graceful orb: raises the likelihood of additional effects occurring when the Pokémon uses its moves by 50% of the second effect's probability (ec. Fiery dance has 50% probability to boost sp.atk, with graceful orb that probability becomes 75%) -wool blindfold: the holder ignores the opposing Pokémon's stat changes, but it lowers its moves accuracy by 20% Part 2 is needed

let's goo another update! I got some ideas this time. Rainbow Crystal: Adds a 10% chance to Freeze, Burn, and Paralyze to beam and light-based moves BZRK Band: Moves with negative effects get a 30% boost in power (Recoil, self-confusion, etc) Fox Flame: Offensive Ghost and Psychic moves from the user have a 30% chance to burn. Grants immunity to Frozen and Burned Titan's Glove: Punching moves from the user have a 20% chance to flinch Phantom Needle: The first time the user's move would be blocked by Protect, Detect, and other similar moves, the move instead hits and this item is consumed. Vampire Fangs: Contact moves heal for 1/8 of the damage done. Biting moves heal for 1/2. Pain Amplifier: Moves rise by one stage of effectiveness when used on the holder of this item (NVE to Neutral to SE to DSE) Pass-Through Pastry: If the user would be hit by a Normal, Ghost, Fighting, Electric, Poison, or Dragon move they consume this item and become the type that is immune to that move until the end of the battle. Crash Amulet: When the pokemon holding this item faints, deal 1/4th of its maximum health as typeless true damage to the opposing pokemon. Hope you enjoy! Happy to see you around again!

I have some ideas as well: *Natural protection:* If one of the user has a protecting ability (one that can be ignored by Mold Breaker), this item will replicate its effect. *Extra Memory:* Grants a 5th moveslot. Cannot be removed during battle. *Extra Army:* To be held by Vespiquen. Makes her use Attack Order, Defend Order and Heal Order twice. *Faraday Cage:* Grants an immunity to Electric attacks, but user cannot switch out normally. *Water Cloak:* Grants a Burn immunity and cannot be removed by other Pokemon. Exclusive to Water types. *Volt Cloak:* Replicates Static and cannot be removed by other Pokemon. Exclusive to Electric Types. *Pacifier:* Replicates the effect of Prankster. Exclusive to NFEs. *Positive Battery:* Found on wild Plusle. Raises the user's Satk by 50% if the ally has Minus or holds Negative Battery. *Spare Berry:* When the ally consumes its berry, the user will grant it a copy of that berry. Consumed after using.

this is my idea! Megaphone: When held by a pokemon, it boosts sound based moves power by 50% Rare Jawbreaker: If held by pokemon, the pokemon gains 3 exp per stepped walked by player. Parasol: When held by a pokemon, its water type move won't be weaker at harsh sunlight Running Boots: When held by a pokemon, it grants an immunity to decreases in speed stats. Cosplay Mask: When held by a pokemon, the move attract will still land on pokemon with the same gender, oblivious or aroma veil ability. Rage Container: When held by a pokemon, boosts move power by 125% if the last move miss. Item consumed. Solar Panel: When held by a pokemon, boosts electric move power at harsh sunlight by 50%. Spreadsheet: When held by a pokemon in a double battle, it will share 25% of received damage to ally pokemon.

Honestly, the Neverstone might not even be the most broken, since it means Slaking and Regigigas can't hold other items like Chocie Band, Life Orb, or Leftovers. Still dummy strong, but not Mega Rayquaza strong.

I always thought it'd be nifty to see held items that modify the types of specific Pokemon/lines for as long as they're held. Some ideas I had to that effect: - Skull Fragment: Cubone line, any Fossil Pokemon -> Gain Ghost type, replacing secondary type if it exists - Spiked Collar: Snubbull line -> Gain Dark type - Electirizer: Porygon line -> Gain Electric type - Magmarizer: Sunflora -> Gain Fire type - Dragon Scale: Gyarados, Charizard, Ampharos -> Gain Dragon type, replacing secondary type if it exists - Metal Coat: Porygon, Voltorb lines, Ditto -> Gain Steel type - Purity Charm: Causes any dual-type Pokemon to lose its secondary type. - Legacy Badge: Reverts a Pokemon to the type it had upon its debut Some of these are to give existing items a use other than being held to evolve a specific line.

@@Substitube It was something I went back and forth on when thinking about this idea. Not sure how well Magmarizer fits with Sunflora, but generally speaking it felt nice to breathe new life into these items. I'm actually working on a hack now that's meant to be a remake of Gen 1 in Gen 2's engine that follows the original to the letter but includes optional new goodies for those who choose to engage with them. I might incorporate some of these in to address the lack of certain types in Kanto. It seems a nice in-between because Gen 1 purists don't need to engage with these optional type changes if they choose not to, but people who want to can go the extra mile to get one of these items and unlock some new types for their team members.

Maybe 32 could be 'weather strider shoes'? Gives the 'ungrounded' state and immunity to the weather. Spreads the effect a bit more but also makes it have more interesting plays. Allowing Earthquake on a doubles team, for instance, or a luxray paired with a pelipper to avoid ground counter attacks.

This was a really fun video! Thanks I suggest the kinetic prism: an item which turns all special moves into physical ones for damage calculation. Great for Gen 1 mons like NIdoking and Tauros that have amazing TM diversity and ok/good attack

9:09 Fun fact: this is actually an item concept that Pokémon Essentials tells developers to *never* make! The code for checking if a foe has a certain working item checks if the foe has the ability Klutz. So any attempt to make an ability-nullifying item creates a recursive loop any time you check abilities or items. ...I actually fixed that in my game by just making the two functions involved have a recursion-proof argument. I don't *have* an ability-negating item but I saw that comment in the code and had to fix it.

Tormented Trophy 🏆: The holder is affected by Torment. Once KO’d, the item transfers to the Pokémon that got the KO and replaces their item.

I remember i had an item idea a bit ago multiplying moss: once held it cannot be removed by knockoff or fling, switcharoo will just replace the opponent’s item with more moss. I imagine it could be used to get rid of choice items with switcharoo or as an infinite fling

These are honestly such fun ideas for items. Here are some from a conceptual fangame idea of mine. Weather and Terrain Tickets: Automatically sets up a corresponding Weather effect or Terrain when the holder enters battle, then is consumed. Unlike their move and ability counterparts, they only last 3 turns instead of 5. Fairy Ribbon: Boosts the power of Fairy-type moves by 20%. It is a Fairy equivelent to the Mystic Water, Charcoal and Miracle Seed type items that Fairy never recieved. Tuning Fork: Like the previous item, it boosts the power of Sound-based moves by 20%. All Terrain Boots: Raises the holder's Speed by 25% while a Terrain is active. Cuddly Blanket: Recovers 1/12 of HP while the holder is alseep.

Choice Claws: "These sharp claws increase the holder's crit ratio by two stages, but it can only use the first move it selects." Enchanted Prism: "This lustrous prism increases the effectiveness of the first stat-boosting move used by the holder." (Example: Swords Dance is +4 instead of +2.)

Singlolite could be more great if also apply on full evolve pokemon where BTS dont reach 500 BTS. Pokemon such use furret, beedrill, parasect, bibarel, that are far from reach 500 BTS even 430 BTS. An using the same formule. That make the pokemon are below 500 but no so far like amongoos with 464 don’t take so much value like furret with 415 BTS

Revelation Shard: the first Normal-type move the pokémon uses is converted into its primary type. Consumed upon use. Sailcloth: boosts wind attacks by 20%. Whetstone: boosts slicing attacks by 20%. Berserk Gene (better): increases attack and special attack by 50%, but all attacks have 20% recoil damage.

Jack in the box: prioritizes status moves (consumed afterwards) Backpack: lets the holder hold two more items If the user has two consumable item, it has a 50/50 chance to consume one of them (after knock off, the holder is flinched for the next turn) If the user has a consumable item and a permanent item it needs to use the consumable item so the permanent one activates (after knock off, the holder is flinched for one turn then gets confused the turn after and keeps the permanent item) If the holder has two permanent item it has a 50/50 chance to use one of them every turn (after knock off, the holder is flinched for two turns then get confused and keeps one of the item)

I really like the simplicity of JAck in the Box! As for backpack, it might be better suited as a unique ability for a small subset of Pokemon (that way they can just hold the 2 items instead of having to hold a backpack that in turn holds the items)

Relic song has a secondary sleep affect, but that is hardly relevant tbh. Nice items, otherwise. I do have one item idea, even if it might be problematic in some cases (I'm looking at you, Ursaring.) A reverse eviolite. Instead of boosting the defense stats of a Mon that isn't fully evolved, it boosts the base power of the moves of a Pokemon that isn't fully evolved by 50%.

​@Substitube Yeah, I've always thought that idea could go well, but considering Ursaring got an evolution, I don't really know if that would go well. This next idea isn't a new item, but rather an item rework. For Lucky Punch, It increases the crit rate by two stages and the probability of secondary effects by 1.1 times if the user is Happiny, Chansey, or Blissey.

i have a better version (in my opinion) for the singlolite the evolte!: boosts the attack and sp.attack of fully evolved pokemon (the gen 9 sun and moon mons as well) and here is my version of the singlolite: it boosts the speed of pokemon with no evo line.. no baby form or pre evos and can not evolve at all...
