We had a Haltech Elite series on our 2JZ with a plug and play loom and it was fantastic. Literally plug it all in, install MAP and turn key.

Seriously, they need to develop an entire range of different sizes of screens that you can put behind the OEM dash instead of the original screen/gauge cluster, along with software that makes it easy to confine the UI to what space you have left over. Same goes for their keypad. It's super handy for race cars, but something a little more discrete would be appreciated. Heck, a Haltech app on my phone along automatic Bluetooth recognition from the Nexus would be a feature I would gladly pay extra for. I know that their business model is "no artificial software lockdowns" which is really cool (Tesla COUGH, Apple COUGH) but I wouldn't mind paying $25 for a phone app that would make my phone a keypad as soon as I place it in the holder....

Or not, based on the specs listed on the Haltech site it looks like it's a bit stripped down from the "full" R3 platform so it's probably going to sell at a lower price-point.

The R5 does a lot more of everything. Full PDM integration, etc. This is probably more for dedicated “lower cost” racing classes.

depends what you have. in the NSP software, there is a section for integrating the factory canbus, but that doesn't necessarily mean its got all of em

Wow the zoomed in Video flashing from view to view makes me Dizzy .. It looks like a Battery but the text leads me to believe it's an ECU.. LS is confusing because there are so many Generations of LS I don't know it it will be compatible with all Generations. I want to repower an old Carbureted car with a small block LS-7 .. I don't want to use some old GM ECU that I can't change with a Lap Top .
