I realize GSM owns CS and SOG, but seeing them both offer the same exact spear was disappointing. That was my biggest worry when I learned that they were both going to be owned by the same conglomerate. At the end of the day, they are still their own brands and therefore should offer separate products independent of each other. I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels this way and I hope GSM listens to consumer feedback regarding such issues.

I don’t mean to sound harsh, but it’s nice to see SOG stepping away from the “Tacticool” designs and came out the gate strong with some real good looking “Practical Tactical” designs!!! I really liked seeing the Willumsen, I’ve always been quite the fan of his, he’s got one of those styles that once you know it, you’ll never forget it

Well being as GSM is running Sog and Cold Steel, Hopefully they'll listen to consumers that are always on the lookout for a re release of Sog Desert Dagger and or perhaps Cold Steel Peacekeeper.. that being said I think I'm digging Cold Steel 2023 line up more, that Mayhem blade is a beast! and the new Lynn Thompson Kobun with the (Japanese) Tanto shape is awesome.

The BAR15T will not fit on the Mossberg 590 without modification unless they changed specs. since this video. The handle hits on the Mossberg magazine cap so you can't make it clip onto the bayonet lug. You'll have to remove some of the handle bump nearest the steel ring.

I hadn’t heard about this. I saw the spear and had déjà vu to the cold steel video. I did not realize they were now owned by the same parent company. I guess it is? Cold steel mayhem looked cool. Price is crazy

My Seal XR omega springs broke and when I contacted SOG, their "lifetime warranty" was that they will give me 20% off on my next purchase off their website. SOG stopped their customer service. There are no spare-parts available and there is no repair-service. SOG was bought, a year ago, by GSM. They stopped the service but kept the products high priced. I was asking them for replacement scales of my Kiku XR LTE, because I broke them. There was no chance to get new scales, even when I would have payed for them. The Kiku XR LTE is not a cheap knife. I own many SOG knives and tools and had very good experience with their service before, but now SOG is not an option for me anymore. Sorry!

The sheath design alone is what I fell most in move with. I hope they release some varieties of the bayonet as a standalone knife I'd buy that tmr even though I just bought a new sog flast at in urban gray. I lost my old one so I had to get a new one it's my favorite edc to date.

Mixed feelings here. On one hand I expect the SOG fans are crying as SOG goes from tactical to tacticool. Then there's the blurring of designs between GSM SOG & GSM Cold Steel (or in the case of the spear exact same designs). Is there a merger on the horizon?? On the other hand SOG finally have a couple of fixed blades that have caught my eye - depending on their final price. I'm not sure where the SOG & Cold Steel story is going but I'm starting to feel a slow decent...... Sharp blades all.

I've wanted the ZT-9 for literally 10 years now and i kick myself from time to time that i didn't purchase one from botach when they had it on sale for like 50% off. For the past few months now i've had this itch to get a full tang bayonet. I hope this thing satisfies that itch by being full tang and 1/4 inch thick.

One year late, but the ring fits around an a2 birdcage, and the rear lock fits on the bayonet lug on the underside of a front sight base on a fixed sight AR.

I hope they make the Aegis MT with a non-assisted blade. It looks like a great small multi-tool, and having an assisted blade would make it illegal to carry a lot of places, including my home state.

This is the problem of a big company like GSM owning multiple brands, showing off the same stuff but with a different label, like what we see with the spear and the bayonet, it feels like an illusion of choice, and at the end of the day GSM is still getting your money.

If anyone from GSM/SOG reads these comments... Imagine a classic take on the SOG SEAL XR with a satin tumbled finish, Micarta scales, all the handle jimping smoothed away, and the lock release buttons and liners in titanium. That's my ideal SOG knife - bring some of the Kiku styling to the big boy. Have the natural linen and black linen Micarta options, sculpted a bit to make up for all that jimping!

I am very displeased with sog! I have been loyaly carrying Sogs since early 2000's. After losing my 3rd. Flash2 I grabbed flash At. Having had way too many problems for any knife & certainly a Sog I emailed sog. Have a heard back? I've been trying to contact them for months & gave up. I know Sog isn't owned by who use too own it & I'm not one to start shit on line or call anyone out. Ignoring me or chosing to not deal w/me lead to that. I'm a life long commercial fisherman & my personal edc knife could literally be my key to survival in a situation. For many, many years I was thrilled having a Sog on my hip. Too bad these new knives look decent too

SOG quality, function, and design rarely measure up to their price point and competition. The rare exceptions were the GAMBIT, INSTINCT, and SNARL. Why would I rely on SOG, when Schrade, Cold Steel, and CRKT offer cooler designs and better materials for 30% less?

Last year things were looking up for sog, and now it’s taken a corporate buyout turn. GSM sucks! I wanted better steels. I liked the studies and observation group on the blade. You put more effort into 1 premium knife and then show Walmart garbage. I’m officially sog!

Honestly, a little embarrassed for the guy for how little he knew about his own products. Lynn Thompson or one of the Glessers can tell you every single detail of each product they’re presenting. This guy does a lot of “I believe so” and “I’m not sure.” SOG is a cool brand, they can do better.
