I will take the congratulations on the money savings alone. Thank you very much.

I have been using the AD200 and 200 Pro for years, great little lights with a ton of options to expand on. Yet to get hands on this version but in no rush really. Was not a fan of that modifier myself when I tried it, borrowed from a friend.

Thanks for sharing. I’m not sure if the upgrade is 100% worth it but sometimes the little things matter to some.

Wow! I like this setup and images. A+

Thanks! Glad you like it. Love these small modifiers

I had done of these and put magnets on the deflector plate so it would be easy to put on and take off. I eventually got rid of it when I sold off all my AD200's. Nice for hand holding on quick portraits.

That’s a great idea, thank you for sharing.

A different space to work in, it will be interesting to see how much imagination you can pour into it!
@kaskoPhotoКүн бұрын
It is definitely smaller and less storage space so I have my work cut out for me.

I shoot with and without the plate. It mostly depends how far away the light is from the subject. I like it without the plate if I am mostly shooting full length. That is my favorite modifier.
@kaskoPhotoКүн бұрын
Thank you for sharing. There is a minor difference but nothing to worry about if you loose the plate. Still works well

Looks like the AD-S7 softbox. I’ve been meaning to get one for a long time. I have a thing for small modifiers. I love large modifiers, too, for sure, but small modifiers are just so interesting to me!

It is definitely small and I have been really happy with it. Love it’s versatility

Thanks for watching! Much appreciated!

Almost did not want to watch it, as I have AD200 and this small softbox... but then I saw Bruna :D :D and yes the reflector plate is a pain to carry around as it does not fit anywhere :D

If that bag was just 2 inches wider.

@@kaskoPhoto yeah, I tend to leave it at home hahaha, not that I would use it often though. Bruna with white hair is cute too

The first photo of the model with the blonde wig on at 6:57 is flippin awesome!! Could you please tell me what camera/lens setup you used? By the way congrats on the new money saving space!

Lovely shoot. Softer light then I would have expected from such a small diameter softbox. what lens were you using, the out of focus fall off is very nice.
@kaskoPhotoКүн бұрын
I used the 50 and the 135

Ummm … I have been installing the deflector backwards.. 😅
@kaskoPhoto10 сағат бұрын
It won’t make a huge difference I promise. I don’t think you’d be able to detect the difference

Are you sure the plate should be mounted with the "bowl" inwards towards the bulb, I've seen people mount it with the bowl outwards away from the bulb?
@kaskoPhotoКүн бұрын
This is the correct way to mount it.
@jasonbodden8816Күн бұрын
The pattern of light doesn’t vary much whether the curve faces out or into the softbox. The difference is negligible but I usually have deflector plates the way he has it in the video.

@@kaskoPhoto me too. I shot models my whole career with a small strip light till I fell in love with this soft box. The great Mizuno (senior Photographer from Playboy USA) shot with a Wescott small strip box most of his career. If it's good enough for him, I made sure I learned to do it as well.
