Other artists, like Tool, will not release anything until it's the best it can be. So, just because something is done, doesn't mean it's the best it can be. However, if you make something the best it can be, not only is it then done, but it's also not mediocre.

It's coming out in 2019. Maynard never committed to a time frame before and has this time. They've been in the studio doing it. They have all of these festival and tour dates lined up especially in Europe. I went to the clinic in Columbus last year and if my memory serves me correctly, someone asked when they were going to tour Europe again and they said they wanted to tour there once the album was done.

I have been looking forward to this day for so long. I remember that day back in April of 2006 when my boyfriend was deployed with the military and we listened to 10,000 days together over the phone the day it came out. What a wonderful time. I can’t believe that was 12 years ago...... I have been waiting for this album for so long. I loved 10000 days, but I also loved each album in its own way, especially Aenima. I guess everyone's preference comes down to what each album was attempting to reach out to in the listener's soul and how receptive they were to it. I am looking forward to the new album, no matter what it sounds like, I hope you are too =D

10,000 days is a masterpiece, imo. But I get why some people weren't into it. The whole album feels like a single song divided into multiple tracks, rather than a collection of different, stand alone songs. Probably why some tracks feel more like interludes rather than actual songs. Just my take.

Maybe un 2019 they publish some cryptic bullshit for say: not this year folks, but we will being in two or tree festivals playing the same music and some silly riffs that you will capture in your cellphones and upload in KZbin while you think that that silly jams are a "new song"... @@cyberdemon1702 since 2012 they are doing the same: some tour, some info, nothing new... Don't misunderstandme amigo, I'm a tool fan since high school in the 90's...basically I grew up listening the undertow álbum (cassette) in a walkman...and today I have a lp (undertow) and CDs of their other records, but I'm tyred of the hype of these guys.. take a look other bands, as complex musically as tool (animals as leaders, between the buried and me, tesseract for say something...) they are touring and make albums every 2, 3 years.. Even dream theater do that my friend... Tool is a great band, but they are a lazy band too...

Which of those other bands you mentioned are 28 years old? Of course they have time and energy to put out music that frequently. Tool are old men now. You should have more respect for the difficulties people of their years face.
