Well, that’s a much easier way to make a Viking longhouse than the old method I was using…which was layering foundations in 2 rows, off center from each other, so you could place the stairs next to each other.

Great info video for community. 👍 I do like the irony of Fallout 76 holding a CAMP build contest, when the actual build system works when it wishes and still have missing camp items from ATOM shop. Junk walls/fences without the rear support. The no coloured Partition Wall. Or how about fixing the build system and shelters, then running a contest? Some might say, there are workarounds. Yes there are, the trouble is we should not have to bend the rules to have a great camp.

they fixed partition planks ,it was taken out of building menu for like 2 months or more but now its back

@@ErevusShadeWalker I know have the Partition walls (Only way to remove them was to move camp) with coloured panels back. We also had non painted Partition planks and Junk walls/fences without the back support brackets. I am sure there are other items, that I do not use and hence would not notice, that more in depth decorating builders have commented on missing from inventory.

Oh, yeah, I was the person that would do the floor half block shift to get the stairs into the side, it was frustrating af. I agree and really hope the make a change so that the large block can snap the stairs on the side

I will finally be able to remove the random flight of stairs I have on the back of my house to allow 2nd floor building because the stairs placement inside triggers the floating error lol. Oddly enough, despite the inside stairs giving the error, npcs and mobs use that flight of stairs without issue.

I was thinking if either the platforms were stuck in the air or I wanted to leave them suspended, can I make a foundation with a door and attach a roof to give support? because I would like to leave some suspended platforms and eliminate the ladder I started from and I was thinking of using the trick you explained in one of your videos, using a flat roof to give support and then changing it to inclined to break it and be able to remove the structure on the ground Anyway, thank you so much for your videos which are making building a better experience ❤

The stairs with posts seem to be buggier than usual. I stacked two on top of each other on two foundations and the upper ones got stuck, which in turn locked in any stairs connected to the foundations. I didn't have any upper floors or walls connected to anything. Just the stairs and foundations. Trying to make things unstuck only resulted in more stairs stuck to the foundations. I'm glad I made my watchtower before the update.

I could see how it could be a bit frustrating, but may also come in handy when you’re building, Cliffside perhaps, since you have a better chance of getting things unstuck???

I was looking forward to building a fort with the fort building set but was dumbfounded to find that the walkway floor won’t snap to the 90 degree angle stairs.Surely it would be just as easy to get that right as it is wrong.Why Why Why Bethesda?!It’s so frustrating.

Seems like they removed the ability to snap stairs to the ends of the half floors? I've been trying to do it on Xbox with absolutely no luck... They'll only attach to the center length side. What a shame I missed this opportunity! I have a single staircase in my main camp and always thought it would look better with offset stairs to open up the space on that foundation below.

There are people advocateing for the support systum to be done with and i 100% agree. Im constantly improving and upgrading my initial camp whenever i get new ideas, and one of the biggest issues that keeps cropping up, besides wall reactions to different sized floor placements, is that i cant delete certain pieces attached to stairs and other support beams because reasons apparently, and since it was my very first build i stupidly put the half sized ones theres so not only can i not move them, i cant change the flooring to match other colors when designing levels, and it looks mismatched and aweful to look at. Plus, since i cant delete them they take up more space in the weight limit. Easiest fix i can think they could do for this is to just makes the floor pallettes work on the 1x1 and 2x2 floors as well. My camps structures already finished its just the stupid smaller ones i need to fix. Id also ask for no more wall errors to merging with permade buildings and structures but i guess that would be too much to ask...

just been trying out a new camp idea and found that those 1/2 upper floors are utterly broken. they are unusable if you want to put a wall of a snapping defence on like the little wooden ones 😭 first it took ages to actually get the half floor to snap on without the gap inbetween, then i wanted to place a wall on it, but nope! the wall wont snap on it, it goes green a 1/4 out off the floor and then wont place because it floating! well i can see it floating! but it wont snap on to floor either! i have some blueprints of some great little mobile camps from years ago i though i could use as a basis to work around this but they are all totally obsolete now too! please tell me this has been flagged and they are working on it.

What is a big issue also is ironically running out of campable space with each update. Yes even Skyline Valley. Some location borders are beyond ridiculous, such as half of Morgantown or Charleston.

I just totally fucked up a camp I was polishing last 3 years 😑 It's an Watoga Pylon build. Whole structure is based upon one foundation block meticulously placed on top of a pylon ring. Of course, ALL support to lower build portion was provided by ladders going down. I added one half-floor element and now it cannot be removed because it's UNSUPPORTED?!

Yep happened to me, accidentally made a piece that was floating, tried many things, eventually thru all my frustrations of adding more and couldn’t take away. eventually I tried to move the camp module and then I couldn’t click on it at all, then two more clicks later camp 💨 all gone, yeah I guess I am moving and starting all over. Of course I only decided to build a 3rd story after the update😢

I have had building parts lock up on me even before this new release. Why do building parts have to be so restrictive? If I wanted to build a whole house out of doors or stairs, how does that harm the game? I have a limit on my CAMP inventory. What difference does it make? Most of us builders have figured out work arounds for many of the restrictions anyway. Let everyone have fun.
