NEW UPDATE Brings TRUSS BRIDGES to Railroads Online!

Welcome back to Railroads Online! Today Hyce and I are back in the saddle again and this time we are checking out another new update to the game! In this update there are a few bug fixes but the big feature is truss bridges so we decided to build another shallow route to the coal mine full of them!

14:40 you can go under the wood bridge, it’s just every other part of it where you can go through the wood. (They might have removed this idk) Also use the trick where you place a teleport station up on the track from the ground and just teleport up there, easy.

Honestly the addition of the truss bridges is cool and all but apparently something is broken yet again because other people are having the same problem with engines and cars being sunk into the ground

It was mentioned in the update post that the trains would spawn in the ground because the pivot points were moved to fix other issues. But after you re-rail the trains they shouldn't do it again. So far for me the trains haven't dug themselves into the ground again since re-railing.

@@katerinakittycat3849 Directly from Small Update/Patch Notes - Beta Update 0.5.7 Vehicle Spawning in the ground: We had to move the actual pivot point of some cars to fix some other critical problems. Due to that, your locomotive will spawn in the ground when initially launching the game. After re-railing them, their new location should be correctly saved and the next time you launch the game, they should spawn correctly. Sorry for the inconvenience. They didn't do it for the laughs, they had to for some important reasons.

Fun fact: The real bridge that Truss is based off of, doesn't have pillars. It's a low bridge that's situated just outside Park City Utah, and spans a river (well creek). It's a single pratt truss type, anchored in concrete on either end. It's also still standing, though not in use.

DirectX 12 does not require new cards, it was announced in 2014 and launched alongside Windows 10 in 2015, driver updates let any old cards run it, it's people running older versions of Windows that'd have problems with DX12.

So having finally caught up to the episode releases, What the hell is a "blind driver"? been mentioned so many times, but I really don't see any differences on the wheels that can make me figure out what that means

Some wheels have what is known as a flange on the inside of the track to keep the wheels on the track, but if you have too many it makes turns difficult. Blind drivers don’t have a flange.

Everything from a GTX 900 card and up can do DX12, the 900 series just can't do it super well. On the AMD side it's even better; anything from the HD 7000 series up can. That series is 11 years old now!

Pretty sure Dx12 has been around since 2015 atleast nvidia 900 series has dx12 pretty sure even to 700 series was dx12 cards. so u basicly have an anchient card if u have to run dx11. nvidia 1000 series and up has a more complete dx 12 version with alll dx 12 features may be refered to as dx12.1 sometimes

It's also possible that they switched to DX11 for improved Linux compatibility, since while there is a DX12 compatibility layer (VKD3D), it's generally slower than the DX9-11 compat layer (DXVK)

You can use the advanced system to make perfectly straight rails. If your Railroads Online is up to date, you have to activate circle mode and set it to 0 or something like that

​@@digit-zero my main problem for this is that I cannot create bends in the track that are not perfect circles, I don't always need a perfect circle but sometimes just a S bend or something like that that's my problem and also finding a great path to get to the logging camp

@E That's still possible with circle mode, but just a bit more complicated. You'd have to create one curve of the S, then from the end of that you connect another curve going the opposite direction.

Naaahh your friend is not correct - sorry :-/ The "Coal man" in german is called: "Heizer" which directly translate to "heater" but that would be wrong translated - so it might be a translation thing why you think the "coal man" in german is translated to "the man with the shovel". it is simply wrong because if you translate that it would be: "Der Mann mit der Schaufel" Instead the "Heizer" (heater) is called that way because he is responsive for heating up the boiler. So a more correct translation might be: "the man who is responsive for heating up the boiler" because that is the meaning of that word in this condition (yes, german is not easy - even most germans can not write all words correctly and/or get comma set right.. "Heizer" is spoken real simular to your friends name :-D Try to say: Hycer That might come close to it :-)
