Excellent video Eric :) safety always counts when working underneath vehicles especially any lift do anything! I seen mishap years ago in garage was working at and young mechanic lucky be alive what happened to ! What happened was a full size 12 passenger van on hosit one had cylinder in middle the cylinder vavle blew and young man mechanic was put rad in and van was Netural gear of famous Coulmn Shifter Manual transmission 3 in tree a hoist came fast and rolled foward pin young man mechanic in metal workbench on knees ! Boss grab his keys for his pick and pull van back on tow with chains I help hook to ! Young Man mechanic was lots pain plus got rushed to hospital by ambulance vechile and had get both knees surgery to heard ! But lucky I knew him from school too was 3 years older me and but okay since surgery all happened! But that garage and hoist no longer in business! But van did replace rad to and owner had said check more ! Think transmission was screwed up too and heard got floor shifter one put too after didn't trust Coulmn Shifter Manual transmission to anymore!

Ugh, that is a huge fear of most mechanics- my wife had a friend who got hurt when a car came down on him. He was trying to rush when it happened. Luckily he was OK after months of recovery

I am retired owner/opp. of a service co. and my personal rig was so heavy that most tire shops I went to tried the in shop lifts and creeks n cracking sounds, then moved the truck out and used floor jacks.. safety 3rd..

How has this worked out for you? I just got mine and not sure I am keeping it. The wheels are all but useless and the feet don’t even touch the ground, so it wobbles on the base

I agree the wheels are useless. The feet however should touch the ground. Double check that they are on there right. I do overall like the stand. it's perfect for a mid-rise lift like mine.

@@FarpointFarms I just setup a return for mine. I didnt use mine yet, but there are too many flaws for me to be comfortable using this. Pin just sitting on top and no retention kinda bugs me a bit too. This could have been great but for $20 more I’d rather take my chances with the Pittsburgh

@@PMPerformance The pin issue isn't an issue as once weight is on the stand, it's not going anywhere. But I hear you, If you don't feel safe, you aren't safe!
