@RobbieStacks904 жыл бұрын
It happened instantaneously. They were probably scared for a second or two. You people have no clue how high speed aircraft disasters happen, do you? There was none of this Disney crap with Kobe holding Gigi and telling her he loved her and trying to protect her. As soon as they got out of the fog, the helicopter slammed into the ground at 180+mph and disintegrated. They haven't identified 5 of the bodies because they are going off of pieces of human remains for DNA identification. Just look at the wreckage. This might not be what you want to hear, but it's the truth and I said it as soon as the TMZ report dropped and as soon as I saw what the crash site looked like on ABC.

Welp, there is an old saying "You're only as good as your last job." And unfortunately, this man, although he was a victim too, will always be remembered as "the pilot who decided to fly during bad weather and zero visibility that inevitably led to the death of Kobe Bryant and others." Yes, I feel bad he died too. But that doesn't excuse the fact that he made a very bad choice - one that costed him his life and the lives of his passengers - including young children. As a trained pilot, he should have known better. No one's disrespecting him, per se. Truth always hurts.

IFR. Instrument Flying Rules. You have to trust your instruments inside the cockpit of the aircraft. These instrument shows your turning rate by degrees, also instruments shows your rate of climb and or descending, your speed, your altitude etc IFR rating isnt an easy certification to obtain. Some pilots, even experienced will get what is called in aviation spacial orientation when flying in no viability. It creates the feeling that your aircraft is doing something different than what your instruments are showing. Unfortunately, many pilots stop trusting their instruments and start flying the aircraft with how their feeling what's going on around them. Many pilots have broken out of a cloud layer and was in 60 degree bank and descending when they thought they were flying straight and level. It happened to me during my training. The instructor told me to put on the hood, ie like mask and he said I have the aircraft. He started climbing, descending, and making turns. He asked me what are we doing now? I said we are in left turn, he said take off your mask. I did, and we were flying straight and level.

Because this isn't close to normal. Check out the show "Aircrash Disasters", these things usually take literally months to investigate, sometimes even multiple years when they have to rebuild the plane piece by piece. I was afraid they would rush this because it's Kobe, and the public pressure is immense.
