Man, I am always asking about larger knives. Finally! I always lament the mini knife fad sweeping the industry. I got rid of my Factor because it was too small.

He makes the coldest stuff. 😊 that spine whack test was pretty impressive, I’ve seen regular liner locks fail with that kinda force before. I don’t know what kinda cold steel level weight abuse it could take but I think normal use is rock solid.

Yes torture yours so we don’t have to, 👍. I managed to score the gold handle factor8 last night. The Ti handle was gone before I could complete my cart, so within the first two minutes.

Need more videos on the factor 8ight PLZ neeves. I'm having a little issues with sharpening and off centering , but no one has made videos about disassembling / adjusting the factor 8ight

The factor xl choke up spot looks way more comfortable since it’s a rounded spot. The second models lock looks similar to the Severn locking system. Great video thanks for showing these off

Would definitely want to see some tests. Amazing design and look, but I'd like to see it being used. Can you do harder tasks without developing blade play? Do gritty environments gum up the action? Does sharpening get steel shavings stuck on the magnets?

No ting? We need it to ting! Does it at least occasionally ting? Also Mag is likely for MagnaCut and the lock. I thought Brian said it would have quad magnets, so check the box. Would love to see some edge retention testing but not a use. We know that mag lock is solid. My factor feels like a vault too.

Dang I want to experience the magnet locks but the veyron looked cooler imo. Hard choice.

You definitely have to do a torture/cut test on it!!!

Those knives can take it but they aren't designed to be hard use knives. Please don't beat those beautiful knives.
@NeevesKnivesАй бұрын
No ofcourse they are not hard use knives the point of the testing is just to see the limits it can be taken to so others can see. Not prying or anything as the geometry is not built for that.

@just9911Ай бұрын
@@NeevesKnives oh I noticed that. To me it’s one of those “I’d rather have it on and not need it instead of need it and not have it” situations where if you mess up - having a glove could save you a few stitches. Granted - I am neurotic as hell so I worry like it’s my job and I’ve got freakishly large hands. With my luck, I’ll leave the pad of my thumb just a touch too close to the blade path and end up making a bit a of a bloody mess… and I fucking hate stitches.

Brutal testing not needed . So long as it doesn’t close on your fingers if you accidentally stab something with an upward motion. The locks are strong enough. Locks like the triad are fun from an engineering standpoint, but I like my fingers so I would never test any of these locks with my hand. If I need a defense knife, I’ll grab a fixed blade.
