I'm team Queen Boi. But they're both gorgeous. Handlebar Boi's veins look like an exploding firework.

For the last plant I like handlebar boi’s shape but I like queen boi’s color. I also really like the wrinkly and glossy boi with the lime green color 💙!
Those emojis were made by the lovely Kaylee Ellen herself! (They are on her You Tube membership.)

Hello Kaylee! I absolutely love your videos and how informative they are! Thank you for all the help and guidance 🙏 I was wondering if you could do a video on different types of Pots for planting and their pros and cons. Such as Clay, Plastic, Self-watering Exct..

Hi Kaylee, thank you for all the wonderful videos. I have only one request, can you tell us about your leca vs soil mix planting (what works, what doesnt in either medium; short term and long term, etc)? Thank you so much.

I love your plant hauls and info on these plants. I do prefer getting plants in person. For the simple fact of being sure about the plants. Two of mine are producing variegation. I love how great these plants are. I live in Pacific northwest, I just love your content

It's gotta be Queen Boi for me. The darker color is fantastic and I typically prefer more compact plants. Idk, I think it looks more snooty and high class but like...in a good way.

Ecuagenera has the Cirinoi(out of stock) listed for $90. But they don’t look the same, similar, but not nearly as stunning. The veins are in the same place but the contrast is almost entirely absent. I’d sure love to get my hands on one like #2 Queen boi. He is magnificent

I can see the Jungle Fever getting turned into a BIG THING like the Birkin was. Similar sort of thing. And just as an FYI upon an admittedly short Etsy search... NOT budget friendly. Variegated Burle Marx philodendrons are dropping a lot in value though and it’s super easy care if you like yellow though and it’s legit variegated rather than having the whole fading into green thing.

Hey Kaylee I wanted to help clarify the variation you experience in the anthuriums. Most are hybrids unfortunately. There are very very very few actual type specimens left in collections anymore and unfortunately harvesting from the wild is impossible due to these types of anthurium like regale, magnificum, crystallinum, clarinervium do not grow in distured forests. They only grow in old growth forests making it almost impossible to collect new genetic material from the wild. If you are looking to see if your Anthurium are true to type then look up publications or illustrations from Pre 1900. Most of these were described and illustrated accurately in the late 1800's and these images can help you identify whether or not you have the actual type species!!! Hope this helps.
@horace68512 жыл бұрын
if anthuriums hybridize that easily do you think the ones in the wild are all "pure"? Unless they grow very far from each other and mostly self poillinate.

@ 05:20 -- Re: "cf" -- per Wikipedia -- "In biological naming conventions, cf. is commonly placed between the genus name and the species name to describe a specimen that is hard to identify because of practical difficulties" This is an abbreviation of the Latin word 'conferatur', meaning "compare."

one of the reason many anthuriums look slightly different from one another is that many are hybridised and farmers lose track of the plants. especially in indonesia. they can sell “pure” plants for higher price so some sell plants just as example “clarinervium” but it could very likely be a hybrid
@hanghang42813 жыл бұрын
Also if a plant has no ID then there's a chance that it was poached. Meaning that the flower never been seen by an expert or it never had a chance to mature so it never flowered. This 'rare plant' obsession come with a cost, some don't understand how easy for a plant to be poached. There are poachers in Borneo and they were litterally vlogging showing how they poached plants
