What are your initial thoughts on New World Aeternum? At a first glance, the gameplay looks pretty improved and smooth! Again - I love this game, and just hope that it gets closer to the true potential it has...as it's been lacking for quite some time. With this new revamped MSQ, maybe we'll see some more end game content in the future?

Main story has been worked on for the last 12 months, and updates have been made consistently on the MSQ for a while now. I’m sure LOTS more changes that we haven’t seen though yet!

Yea the new servers will be locked for sure, I just think a lot of existing PC players will start fresh and take over the new servers a bit :p We’ll see!

I’ll likely start a new one too! Would love to play on console, but currently don’t have a ps5 and wouldn’t buy one just for this :/ I’ll likely play on PC on a new server!

They did a good job on a proper intro. I like the visuals of it and the vibe. Where was that effort when the pc version originally launched? that being said after about 500 hours in new world people are going to have the same issues as current pc players. But if your a new player you have alot to do for some time. It will be fun if you are new to the game. If your beyond that point you have little in the ways of content or reason to play anymore.

genuine question, what will happen to our old characters on PC? I'd love to play New Word: Aeternum and I've been a long time supporter of the game, but if all my progress is lost, thats a big no no for me

Your character will still be there, as long as you play on PC. If you plan on buying it for console, you need to start a new character. No cross-progress between systems

Just not a ton of end game content atm. Plus, all the PC players we told to wait and wait and wait for huge news, and the news was just console release, when they built up hype and teased actual new end game content, so people are mad they’ll still have very little to do on PC. If you’re console, you’re in a good spot.

Honestly I thought the same thing - the fact swimming is THE VERY FIRST THING you do in this game is interesting haha. At least they’re making it very clear that there’s something new 😂

I noticed that too....I'm hoping that gets cleaned up a little and isn't AS MUCH as a drastic change. It's still "beta" technically, so we'll see. Will take a lot of adjusting if it's locked in like this.

@@Savvvo yea any side jumping will probably useless now if it stays like this. which i guess it what they want because they've slowly been taking the usefulness of movement away little by little over time. They keep changing how your character lands, and messing with the character slide when changing directions. To me this looks like one of those action rpg jumps where you always start the animation jumping forward and then are able to move in a direction after airborne. which is that's what we are getting... they just handicapped movement insanely.

I'm torn with long standing content creators still covering this garbage of a game in a good light... I understand you gotta keep pushing out content but really think you should be spending your talents on other games that actually deserve it. It's like you don't care how they've handled the game and it's players up til now. Anyway, if it pays off and gets you more popular with the console crowd then good luck

I enjoy the game and the console will add some players to the player base, regardless if it’s short term or long term it’s a nice change of pace. Long/m-term, we’ll see what happens, but in the meantime I’m still grinding away in New World!
