A newborn must have for me was my bek&jet changing mat! I found i just used it more to change diapers on the bed, floor, couch, etc. I loved the size & material of this changing mat vs. the other ones (thicker & larger, but also easy to fold down to pack away!)

Something we did with our daughter when she was a newborn is, we used a bassinet and put a rolled up towel on both sides of the bassinet and then put a blanked over the towels. It helped her sleep and she would wake up like twice during the night Also instead of using a baby tub. We just put enough water in the bath to cover the bottom and laid her in it. She also did great and loves water!

Angel care bath seat is a god send, we love it SO much. When my son was a newborn we could just put it over the bathroom sink and pour water on him, and as he got older we just moved it into the tub for bath time. Also the haakaa 360 toothbrush. 🙌🏻 my son is 11 months and STILL chews on that thing. It’s really easy for him to get it back there to his molars which he is cutting now.

Bibs pacifier have a collection that’s comparable to mam, it’s the bibs supreme pacifier. My daughter use to use the bibs original bulb pacifier until her pediatric dentist advised me against them. They can cause a high pallet 😔. My baby girl thankfully was able to transition to their supreme edition and now she uses the mam glow in the dark 16+ months ones even though she’s 14 months. With bibs you have to replace the pacifier every 4 weeks, even the silicone versions so it was getting quiet expensive. I still replace her pacifier every 4 weeks but they are so much more affordable

The nose Frida concept had me feeling ew that’s weird when I first found out about it like everyone else said so many good things about it so I had to get it when my daughter had some congestion man I love it!! It’s my favorite little tool to use. Works like a charm in my experience.

My son also only wanted the mam pacifiers. I hated the characters on them. I'm due next month with a baby girl and while looking for new pacifiers for her, I found that mam has a matte collection that doesn't have any characters on them or crazy colors. Still not quite as cute as some (the Bibs or Friggs) but they're much nicer looking than the ones I had for my son!

Something I consider an essential that nobody mentions is a mini bedside fridge for Hakka milk. I do not have the energy to go downstairs in the middle of the night to put it in the actual fridge. Also a manual HAND pump. I get more milk out with it vs with the electric and in a way shorter amount of time

My best friend used something similar to the nose Frida and she loved it. Others do think it's gross but the filter helps. Her daughter always had teething colds so she was constantly having a stuffy nose so that was just quicker to get the snot out than the bulbs in her opinion.

The merino wool breast pads are wonderful but just a warning. Some people are allergic lanolin and don’t know it until they use a product with lanolin in it and develop dermatitis. Hand creams, lip balm etc... Lanolin soap on already sensitive perhaps broken skin nipples could be bad. 😬

Wish I could get the nestedbean offer here in Scandinavia. An essential for me though was the Najell sleep carrier - it’s a baby nest, bassinet, baby carrier and playmat in one. A little pricy but bought secondhand, cause no baby can wear it out in the time they use it. Also our Ergobaby Omni 360 carrier was a life safer for every regression or whatever we call it, couples with a Pilates ball that I would gently bounce on - great through my pregnancy, with my newborn and I could probably have used it to get some exercise as well 🙈😅 absolutely agree with the glow in the dark pacifiers! Essential here for sure! Waiting for second baby to arrive this summer and so glad to follow you to sort of get ready again 😁 Thank you for sharing, being relatable and honest! God bless you.

It’s not super unique, but Tubby Todd all over ointment and Baby Dove body wash has been a staple for me since my son was a newborn. As a new mom I had no idea which baby products would be best for his skin since every child is different. As much as I loved the smell of the OG “baby” scented products, my son didn’t react well to them. After switching to Tubby Todd and Baby Dove his eczema is doing sooo much better.

I’ve actually heard that pacifiers before 6mo could be linked to a decreased risk of SIDS :)
@TheKarakik2 жыл бұрын
How long did the use it?? They can reduce SIDS in infants but after 9-10 months it usually time to wean before they get emotional attachment and then it's more difficult to remove. Also only in the crib if using longer. Obviously if a two year old has it all day everyday it can be a speech problem
@brittanypepper12922 жыл бұрын
rah bid curious if your conclusion is coming from one data resource such as your nieces are from the same family. If so your conclusion is coming from a limited data set and further research should be carried out before coming to such a concrete conclusion and sharing with others. There may be other factors causing their speech delay.

What a bizarre world we live in where "aesthetic pictures of your baby" are an actual thing we're worried about. Like I may have one or two outfits for pictures for each milestone. Like are you guys just constantly filming your kids where the pacifier they use matters for photos? Like could you not just give them the cute one, snap the desired pic, then give them the one they love? Especially if you already bought the aesthetic ones? I mean no offense. At all. Just seems super dystopian and strange that I can't find a single video like this that doesn't talk about "aesthetics", sponsored products or fad products, or things like that. Like get that bag girl, I wanna support that 100% but it makes it hard when everyone is sponsored by something different so I barely know what's an ad, what's a trend, and what's like legit experienced mom advice! I've watched so many of these now because I'm scared and lost but I always end up more confused almost. Thank you for the information. I mean you may not even read this and I don't want it to seem mean or rude at all because it's not at all just you. There's 100s of these.

How is nested bean being $45 affordable lmao
@blakejordan37422 жыл бұрын
I get what you’re saying they are a little pricey but … I’ll pay $100 if it keeps my baby asleep through the night!
@dolphynlvr42 жыл бұрын
I agree it is pricey. However, if you try it with your baby and it doesn’t help them sleep better, you can return it and get your money back. We tried one with my son for a week when he was younger and saw no help with his sleep so we were able to get a refund.
@Nicolelelagreen2 жыл бұрын
In comparison to whats on the market, yes, it's more affordable. Swaddles go for $33 on the low end up to $89 on the high end! And many of those do not even have the features the Nested Bean has (double zipper, arms up or down option, weighted sack)... I consider it affordable with those added features since it helps my baby sleep better, which is priceless in my opinion for a mama and baby who needs rest. Also a comment below mentioned if it doesn't work for your baby, you can return it, thats incredible. On top of that, the new Zen Neo sack comes in a pack of 2 for $49 that breaks down to $25 a piece. And, if that all isn't enough, I offered a discount code to help bring down the price.
