The touch screen is super sensitive (you can't put it in yr pocket or bra while walking around, for example, you have to hold it or it clicks randomly) and i've had two already because they keep breaking! @@diaryofachubbymomma9989 i went with the S9. It's a great pump. I love that it's back lit, has a timer and a screen to see your settings, and has good suction. Biggest downside is that it's pretty loud and i don't love the massage mode but its still good and gets me to have 2-3 let downs in 30 min. It also doesn't have a clip or lanyard so i bought a clear fanny pack to put it in so i can wear it around the house and don't have to remove it to see the buttons. I've watched more of Allison's videos and the freemie is one of the quietest pumps if not THE quietest which would of been really nice. I haven't heard great things about the freemie cups tho ... i bought the legendairy collection cups once they came in stock because of a review by Allison. I use them with my S9 and I LOVE them!! The extra spectra pump parts have been nice to have but now i mainly use the collection cups so i think i would of liked a quieter pump at the end of the day. Also getting the collection cups has been a game changer. Maybe the freemie cups will work great for you. It's worth a shot and if you don't like them you can always order different ones later down the road.

Medela freestyle flex is terrible! I have had to exchange mine 3 times. This is because the charging mechanism completely malfunctions and renders it unusable. One day it just won't turn on. The touch screen is so annoying and impractical when your a busy mum washing dishes for instance and have to touch the screen to letdown mode with a soggy finger. It won't let you. Or if you chuck it in your top while you vacuum so you can move around the house your boobs will press all the touch buttons. Otherwise SPECTACULAR suction and length of pulling if you want to be glued to the couch which defeats the purpose of being portable. Just a shame that regardless of if you are moving around or not it will completely die within a couple months of using it. This has happened on 3 occasions with 3 brand new Medela freestyle flex's. I have just bought the Spectra s9 and am yet to try it out fingers crossed (Australian review)

Thanks so much for your review! It’s also nice to hear others experiences as well. Some great points about the touch screen and I’m sorry yours died so many times! Really unfortunate 😕

Hello I am using Lansinoh single electric breast pump and I am getting 4oz milk in 3 hour period and it take only 15mins, if I use Philips Avent double electric breast pump I get 4oz milk in 3 hour period but it’s taking 30mins, but my nipples are are sore and they become very sensitive, I am not able to touch them after pumping. I am planning to buy another breast pump, could you please tell which one is best to not hurt my nipples. My baby is not latching, I am not sure why he is doing like that, that’s why I decided to pump and feed him, I am pumping 8 times a day and pain is unbearable, could any one please give me some suggestions on how to deal with that pain

Could you use the pumpables genie advanced as your primary pump. I have a Medela pump in style with max flow right now that I got through insurance. It I am not loving it. Should I continue using that as a primary and use the pumpables only when needing more portability or is it strong enough to use regularly?

How often are you pumping?
@MeganKramer-er2zf Жыл бұрын
3 times a day but trying to increase more. Right now I am having to supplement with formula and want to replace that with pumped milk but can’t seem to pump enough. I’m working on increasing supply. I feel I would pump more often if I had a more portable device that would aid me to better care for my baby and the house while pumping. My out pump in style occasionally will give me great output one pump then almost nothing out of nowher.

Wow! The pumpables genie advanced was not on my radar, but it may influence which pump I choose to splurge on, through insurance. Tricare basically contributes a (pretty generous) flat rate toward a single pump, so I'm figuring out all the inexpensive pumps I want, so I know what gaps I most need to fill with my expensive pump, since that's the one I'll have insurance pay for. If I have a solid portable option I can trust, I might feel more confident going for the Spectra SG Gold.

Can you possibly do a decibel test video for just the portable pumps?

I do need to update this huh! Pumps just keep coming at such a rapid rate 😅 it’s hard to keep up Zomee for me is somewhere in the middle. It’s a nice pump and definitely better than some of these options!

Do you recommend the Medela freestyle flex or the spectra S1?

It's hard to keep these all straight. 😅 But it's great that there are so many options out there

I know 🙈 there’s even more on my shelf now!! This is why it’s so hard for moms to choose… too many options!!

Do you have a video on cups? What about sound? I had a S9 before pumped on the plane, at meetings, etc.
