Last night, Kyiv experienced another wave of Russian aggression as ballistic rockets targeted the capital. Air raid sirens blared throughout the city, and missile fragments were reported in several districts, including Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Dniprovskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi. Buildings were damaged, and fires broke out. Early reports indicate two victims, with one person hospitalized. Despite the ongoing attacks, the resilience of Kyiv’s residents remains unbroken.

Tanya, an important piece of information for you to know is, that this attack also completely destroyed the office that the Danish and Norwegian People's churches aid organizations share in Kyiv, as well as 4 of their cars. Only material damage, but it is problematic when aid organizations/NGOs aimed at helping people experience a set back like this.

@@Tanyafiona You're welcome. One problem to Russia, however, is, that it weren't a strong country when it started the war. And after 2.5 years+ of war, sanctions and its energy sector partly destroyed, it will only get weaker and weaker with time. Denmark, for example, has just banned 27 Russian ships from seeking harbour or anchoring here. If you are interested in reading about the Shadow fleet, I suggest you go to a journalistic organization called "Danwatch" and read more. Jacob Kjøgx Bohr is the name of the lead journalist on that area, and you can easily translate articles from Danish. Just the other day, Interfax wrote, that Russia has stopped publicizing data on its oil and gas production. I have a feeling, that at some time economic and political collapse in Russia will break out. People over there don't want the chaos of the nineties or the poverty and despair of the late Soviet Union. But this is what they get in a new version.

Hi Tanya! I suppose it is inevitable that putin would choose such an important day, dedicated to education, to act out his mental problems against the entire rational world. A sad, but important, story today in the NY Times about UA children’s first day of school, and the enormous mix of emotion it brings with it. The story is reported from Kyiv, and includes kids who are trying to adapt to the chaos of daily bombings and family instability and death. Sorry for all of the Trouble and Pain and especially the loss of Lives (in addition to property, peace and prosperity) that you and All Ukrainians are having to endure, especially after over 2 years of full scale war, not to mention the many years after the initial invasion. All because your Western allies (as well as the rest of the world) have a wallet where their heart should be and are myopic (short sighted) and cannot see beyond next day / week / month / quarter's profits ($). But Putin and his Gang aren't satisfied with just 1000: They'd rather have a "Cool Million".
