I am glad to note that a simple and down to earth person is the director of IITM. Posting videos on science and math to encourage students to think out of box is simply wonderful. I wish I had such opportunities when I was growing up. I was born and brought up in a tiny village with less than 100 families in Tirupur district. Both my parents had never gone to school. I studied in a single room one teacher school. My high school was another village school about 4 miles from my village. I used to go by cycle to attend the school. Somehow I managed to pass the high school and eventually attend NGM college in Pollachi. I had never heard about IITs or IIScs. Somehow I managed to get through and eventually obtain a Ph.d from one of the top universities in US.

Stop complaining about entrance exams. Francela ellam BSc BCom Economics ku lam entrance exams (Prepa). Here, no one complains or does any political dramas. Single syllabus to the nation, no reservations, no discrimination and free education till 12th grade. Stop selling education...its just a dream for every Indian.

OC Soru Veeramani biggest lier used to say "IIT",, means Iyer and Iyengar Technology. Last Twenty years maximum students who are studying are from Backward Caste Reservation Quota.
